We really worried about mold marks?! If we’re talking about REALISM here which is what fingerboarding is all about, even real skateboard trucks have mold marks…

I used to only use Blackriver trucks, but recently started using Dynamic the past few months. My main issue with Blackriver was the baseplates, but I stopped taking them off and switching them around a lot. I've thankfully never had the axle slip, but I've had bearing slip with multiple sets of blackriver wheels. I've snapped kingpins on Dynamics, and I've had an axle slip on a set. Currently I'm using Deli trucks and they're pretty amazing after changing bushings and screws!

Idk soon as I opened mine I shredded my brick ledge so those marks are well gone but trucks work amazing nothing wrong with them

I have 2 pairs of 1.0’s 1 pair of 2.0’s and 2 pairs of 3.0’s and I always liked my 2.0’s the most

the biggest problem with the axle too is not only are they slipped, every truck I’ve gotten if the axle starts out seemingly “locked” but still are unevenly locked. I’ve tried 3.0s again and again and each time has this problem. Sad part is that most of the time I’ve bought said trucks it was from a retailer. I love blackriver and my friends that work and ride for blackriver but it’s a bummer that nothing really got fixed besides the bases but otherwise it seems like a trade off for worse problems for more price. I’ve become a dynamic person overtime so maybe just stick with that but I do have love and respect for blackriver

lots of the mold marks on both my sets. one stripped baseplate hole. no slipping axle. have a horrible slip in my dual bearing axles though. id get the 2.0s again for the 5-10 dollar difference. i want a perfect product for $70

Nice and honest. I like that. It's a great insight on BRTs for example for my particular situation, BRTs are completely out of budget, since I get paid in pesos, 70 usd is like half my week's salary, specially because I can buy high end completes in Kraken fb for example, which is a mexican brand for the same 70 usd. So if in a situation where i get extra money to buy BRTs just for the sake of experience them first hand, I obviusly would like it to be completely ultra high end, ergo, no mold marks.

Bro, you seriously need to try Obsius trucks... they don't have ANY mold marks AND there are NO AXLE SLIPS WHATSOEVER.... the axles are fixed in. Moreover, the prices are waaaaaay lower, and color variations are ridiculously gorgeous. Obsius trucks and decks don't pull that "REAL WEAR" excuse either; the finishes and paint last a long time. If you truly want the worn down look on an Obsius, you'll need a diamond file. For decks and trucks, they have a thick coat of clear enamel over the paint. Obsius doesn't cut corners, man... they even come in an upscale tin for polished presentation. I gave up on BRs about a year ago. By the way, I have a TON of BR ramps, too. Many of these ramps have crooked nailgun shots, which makes these REALLY annoying gouge lines on the ramps! Fuckin' inexcusable dude! They looked like they were made by a drunken 90 year old with arthritis. It's true that the ramps are still cool overall, but the price to quality ratio leaves a bitter pain. I respect BR for their history, but GET THAT QC UNDER CONTROL, BR!

Your completely right in any point… But the worst on this situation is that they didn’t longer operates in a vacuum chamber like in the past… I mean, axle slip is nothing new, not for br, not for china trucks not for any other truck, that’s in my eyes a given and natural thing and not even that big of an issue for me, one tool on one side, one to the other and the first nut will come loose, after that you take a small tong, grip the part of the axle where is no thread and loosen the second nut, for me it’s just not a real issue… But like you say, this moldmarks are incredible for this pricetag especially where the new gen of china trucks (these with the squared base, not those in double t shape like on tech deck trucks which the old china trucks use) came with very high quality now… ASI Berlin for example have them as shop trucks 3.0 in stock and I’ll be just honest, with a set of lvl up bushings they are on the same level like BRTs and this just for 15 bucks (with lvl up 20 bucks)… On those trucks they fixed finally that issue we allegedly all hate on the old china trucks, the to longe axle or the to short threads (from what ever point you looking to that), they just fixed it and any set of single bearing wheels i have tried (that’s already a lot) fits just perfectly like on BRTs, the axles are still a bit long but cuz the threads are long enough that’s not an issue for me anymore… Really love those trucks, have already 5 pairs and i’am completely happy with them cuz they just work… Setup all of mine with lvl up bushings and on some setups i even prefer them cuz the BRTs give this short wheelbase what the new china trucks don’t do, depending on the board its a better geometry with these china trucks then with BRTs like on my lenlen baller shape deck or on my own decks i made with the standard create your skate press, on those the china trucks are just better for me… I think companies like blackriver or dynamic (same price here in Germany, strangely every truck of a named company came for this 55€ here in Germany) should slowly go a bit down with the price of the trucks in the current situation cuz why should spend over 50 bucks for a pair of trucks that just do exactly the same like a truck for just 20 bucks? (i directly calculate lvl bushings to them for the same performance, btw the lvl ups fits perfectly to this chines trucks like they perfectly fit BRTs too)… So, i will be honest, i will buy 2 more maybe even 3 sets to those one i already have (i will take one black pair 3.0 32mm, one golden 2.0 32mm and maybe silver 3.0 34mm but i am more the 32mm guy so last one is not sure) but that’s just cuz i want this like i want at least 1 dynamic set too but that’s nothing i’am in hurry with and i will do when i have too much money or nothing else to spend on… But if i just want a new set to ride cuz one broke or just a new setup to shred or something like this i would buy now in first place a pair of the ASI Berlin trucks… So don’t get me wrong, i love blackriver, I love their stuff they bring us, i love what they have done for the scene since 2002 (year of the first BR ramp and with that start of BR) but i think they are just too expensive and that all over the way… The ramps are done from other companies too (even here in Germany) in the same quality for a much lower price, the trucks where ahead of its time at some point but today, next to all the other trucks and especially next to this crazy big copycat giant called leefai, they just must go with the time and must recalculate nearly everything they have to offer especially ramps, trucks, wheels and components… I never tried br wheels cuz i know that i pay at least 35 bucks for 4 pieces of Plastik with bearings in it that seems to slip like on any other 5 bucks chines pro wheels (lathe wheels), that’s just not worth it, not even for testing when i can get next to that 60 or 65d urethan wheels from kraken for just under 30 bucks (love those, my absolutely favorite even next to ill pills and oaks) that have real skateboard grip and no bearing slip at all (5 sets in collection, all hardly used over the last year and till now no issues, not even with just a single wheel of those)… And the worst high price stuff from BR, the bollie line… I mean, the decks from bollie are great for the price, not gonna lie, they are really great for the price they came for, but everything else from bollie is dramatically overpriced… I mean 12€ for these 2 axis 29mm china trucks that came 1€ a set on Amazon, 14€ for the normal bollie wheels that are just the these cheapest china Plastik wheels you can partially find from 1€ a set (for example on etsy), 20€ for the normal chines pro wheels you can easily get for 5€ on Amazon, for 7,50€ at asi Berlin and so on, we all know theses wheels from … (enter the company you want to) Or the new bollie 32mm and 34mm trucks for 15€ you get anywhere else for just 10 bucks… Just everything of the bollie line is so high overpriced, that’s not even nice anymore with wins nearly 1000%, that’s just ugly as f… So again, blackriver should take a look on their whole concept they ride over the last 2 decades cuz the time where it is just enough to have a set of quality trucks and some nice ramps to give you a real advantage over everything else is over, other company’s are all over the places and some of them do it even better for cheaper and when BR is not careful enough they can easily get to a point where they maybe don’t have that much options anymore… So just as example, why should a beginner choose a BR pro complete when he gets from others a setup with the same quality (partially maybe even better) for the half end less then his BR complete? I mean, we talk about a sport where you already get a good start with a normal tech deck for just 5 bucks… For sure, the br has better trucks, maybe better wheels (what’s hard when you think about how bad they are), better bushings, better grip but that all is something you can get too for your 5 bucks TD with the difference that you are then still way under 50 bucks and then you have even already a better setup and when not better then at least on same level… It’s just amazing for how less money you could get a pro quality setup nower days, the ASI Berlin shop complete for example came with those new very good china trucks, a pretty well made board with mid concave and mid kicks, foam grip that’s not noticable better or worse then rip tape or fbs tape and this cheap china pro wheels that are nothing special but have at least good bearings and are quit durable (the bearing slip don’t count cuz an issue of way too much company’s even with the highest pricetag like the harder teak running urethan wheels or oaks and so on…)… This asi completes came for just 20€ (32mm) and 25€ (34mm), again + 5 bucks for the bushings and with those the boards are just amazing for this small amount of money and next to the BR (and Berlin wood) completes for 3-4 times the money… Just my two cents to the topic price and what you get for that at BR…

i get the axle slip problems but i've tried dynamics and my first set 1 axle came stripped + a kingpin hole + 2 of the locknut nylon came off on the first setup, so yeah i prefer to pay a little bit more and get less problems.

Got dynamics and the axel was slipping i got brts because of that. I really hope I don’t have the same problem with them.

imho I don’t see a reason to buy 3.0s if you have a chance to get 2.0s. I also heard that 3.0s are thicker which means they’re heavier ?? this fact kinda puts me off buying them cause I don’t like heavy setups. This BRR logo on baseplate tho.. I mean for me it looks a bit gothic which I wouldn’t want to see on my trucks. I think 3.0s are just not my type
