I never usually comment but I thought I would as I am just continuously admiring you and your work. You are honestly a true credit to the KZbin community with your refreshing outlook. If I could only one watch KZbinr for the rest of my life, it would be a no-brainer that I would choose you- I talk about you to my friends and boyfriend as if you were my friend because that's how down to earth you are, I don't feel like I'm watching a stranger on the internet! Keep doing what you are doing and don't ever change because if I could be half the inspiring woman you are, I would be very content. Enjoy your evening Lily! x

I don't mind when people use clickbait and are honest about it but it really gets on my nerves when they act oblivious to it and make out that they didn't mean it. I feel like it's an insult to their viewers intelligence. Loved this video Lily!

I felt I've seen a vulnerable and different side to you Lily and you have raised my respect for you, especially for posting this video; I can only imagine how hesitant you were. You are right social media depict a near perfect image of someone's life, the audience is unaware of what occurs in the background. You talking about your personal life in the previous video showed a side that shouldn't be so surprising. Also in this video you opened up about many controversial topics and I am so glad you have stuck to your roots and think about your business and your audience. I am proud to be your follower for a few years now. You are one of the few YTs I watch and who's videos I look forward to watching. Keep posting the brilliant content. Xxxx

Lily, I saw how anxious you were about putting this video up and I must say... thank you for doing this and not putting it off. We appreciate your honesty as it creates more of a bond with a person even if you haven't actually met them in real life. Keep doing you, don't ever apologize for who you are and have a great evening! Cheers! 😌

I understand that you feel alone in the face of negative comments but always remember that most people think those negative comments are nothing more than a reflection of the commenters' own unhappiness. You have an entire community supporting you and the rest is just noise. Thanks for all you do. Keep on!!

I don't agree with mean and nasty comments but there's nothing wrong with leaving negative feedback as a viewer. Hate the way some people manipulate this and turn it around as if the viewer must have a miserable life to leave negative feedback- maybe we are just honest? Must be horrible living in a cloud of fairies and positivity, 24/7. Lily strikes me as the type of girl who can understand and handle negative feedback.

Sara Higgins why leave negative feedback at all though? There is a huge difference between having an opinion and expressing it. People need to start thinking about if they would say it to their face in person.... if not maybe don't comment. There is a real human being behind this channel and every channel reading the comments. And even if people didn't get hate, whos to say their life is a 'cloud of fairies' you never know what someone is dealing with Sometimes people need to just keep it to themselves

Michelle Bailey: because I'm a viewer, and if I don't like something I'll speak up about it. I'd never be nasty or mean, but if I dislike the content of a video then I'll speak up and leave my feedback, why not? Do you ever watch tv shows and say "well that was rubbish". Lily is making content SPECIFICALLY for her viewers. We are doing her a favour by saying what we like/dislike about it. That doesn't make me a bad person or mean I have a sad life and existence.

Lily Pebbles, you'll never see this, but just in case you do. I really like you. I'm among your oldest viewers, the 1.1%, but you inspire me every day. There's something steady, wise, and sensible about you that makes me feel it's okay to enjoy fashion and beauty without going overboard. PS. As a mom, I applaud your concern about putting your kids on the internet, once you have them. Children deserve to grow up outside the spotlight. Children cost a great deal more than Chanel bags, but are definitely not accessories.

I am a part of the small community watching you from Bulgaria :) In the past few years youtube has started to feel more and more like television and more and more videos especially in the beauty and fashion field do not look true and genuine. This is why I love watching you. You are always so sincere and honest, and even if I may not agree with everything you say or do it feels like speaking to a friend, hearing a different opinion and point of view and thinking about it. I would like to finish with one of my favourite quotes: ''If everybody likes you, you are doing something wrong!". So keep being you and do your job your way!

I am one of those countless silent viewers who sit back watch the content read the comments both good and bad and then move onto the next not wanting to get caught up in "bringing down" the negative commenters from their high horses as it is usually a waste of time! You will never be able to combat the negative people in this world with more negativity it is just best to ignore them and go about your day! I love how honest you have been in your last videos and it is so refreshing! I saw on snapchat how nervous you were about posting this video and in my opinion you did a wonderful job answering some tricky questions with such integrity! You keep doing you and leave those 10% at the door xxx

I don't know if you'll read this but I need to say how thankful I am for these 2 Q&A's you posted. I've always liked your channel but I couldn't really relate to you. I love your style, I love your taste, your accent and your vlogs around London but now? Now I love YOU, as a person. I feel like I understand so much better now (just a little still, I know), how you conduct yourself, how you think, what you fear so thank you, thank you for trusting us your viewers and forgetting about the trolls. Thank you because now I feel like we could actually be friends, I realize we're so similar and now I love this channel even more than before. I know this is your job and it's not a given to be this open, that this is a career path right now and you don't owe us anything but still, I appreciate the bravery in doing something I know and understand is not easy for you. I loved these 2 videos and I hope you and your channel keep growing and flourishing. I wish you all the best.

P.s. I love watching mommy vloggers, and love seeing babies in videos, but made the decision for myself not to show my kids in videos or on instagram because I wanted them to be able to choose their own digital identity. When we post content of our kids, we're choosing how they're represented online for them - they don't get a say. I want my kids to be able to choose one day if and how they're represented online. But if I post everything about them now, they'll never have that choice, if that makes sense. I know a lot of adults who would hate to have bits of their personal life show up online without their consent, and I remind myself that my children will be adults one day too. Even though I'm comfortable with sharing parts of my life online, they might not be. The issue of safey comes up a lot as well, but many people argue that there are ways of sharing your children online safely, which is probably true. But after reading a lot of different blog posts and articles discussing the topic, I decided that consent was a really important thing for me. That being said, every mom does what she feels in her heart to be the best for her children. And what's best for one family, might not be the best for another. xo

Patricia B in France My husband and I decided when we were pregnant we'd never put images of our daughter online anywhere. Sometimes I feel bad, because I'm so proud of her I want the whole world to see. But I'm always worried about creeps. A grandparent posted a picture of her once she was born and within ten minutes a male friend of theirs said the picture was so beautiful they'd kept it and they hoped we didn't mind. Of course I mind, I don't know who you are and why would you want a photo of my baby! So I had to ban family from posting pictures too, which they all complain about. Even when I liken it to walking up to a stranger on the street and handing them a photo of your child to keep and do with what they please, they don't understand and think I'm just over protective. I take a million pictures of her every day and will continue to keep them just for us.

These last two Q&A videos have been some of my ABSOLUTE favorite videos of yours, Lily! I really love your super creative videos, but I love it so much when KZbinrs cut the BS and are honest with their viewers like this. I haven't agreed with you on everything you've said in these videos, but that's the beauty of being human, I don't have to :). It makes me respect you so much more than I respect a lot of KZbinrs, because ultimately, you can tell that your main priority is being true to yourself and to your viewers. You and Anna are my absolute favorite content creators, no contest, because I feel like you guys are my friends. You are so unapologetically yourselves, and while you don't share your entire life with the internet, you make us feel like we know the real you. Wow, I've officially gushed, but I, like many of your other viewers here in the comments, just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate that you've taken a chance to talk about stuff like this. Hi Lily, at 55 years old I'm one of your older fans! As a teacher working with young people I'm looking for ways to show kids how the internet can be a great influence, but that there are pitfalls too. I recently spoke to a class of 9 year olds who overwhelmingly said the internet/ social media is a bad thing ( you could hear their parents' comments loud and clear!). I find this sad and worrying that it is seen as such a bad rather than positive influence so any help / ideas to redress the balance would be great. i would love to see more videos on the techy side of making and editing videos, blog posts etc and also some examples of how editing can alter what we as viewers are looking at- e.g. around body shape, complexion etc. Keep doing what you do as I think you give us a great insight into this quite new, to some of us, but exciting career possibility for young (and maybe not so young!)people.

This was probably the most enjoyable video I've ever watched on KZbin. Lily, you're such an inspiring person and your honesty about all sorts of topics - even the difficult ones - is a true privilege to see in this jungle of people who are constantly exaggerating and trying everything to make themselves look better and more perfect than they really are in any possible way. The main thing that KZbin and blogs and social media in general should be all about is authenticity and that's something that you always mange to keep up without fail. Thanks for doing what you do, you're amazing! Love from Austria xx

Lily, I love how you did not shy away from the controversial questions. Having watched youtube for a couple years throughout my university years I have slowly stopped watching other youtubers videos just because I lost the connection I once had. However I have always gone back to watching your videos, it seems that you are talking directly to us, being completely honest with us, not talking down to us or even letting numbers getting to your head. You are here for us and you definitely make us feel loved, always asking our opinion on content and the various questions you ask via twitter ectera. I bet a lot of your viewers (myself included) view you as an older sister that we can go to (via your videos) for advice and just to listen to. Rambling is over, just wanted to say thank you for what you do and always thinking of us. I have loved seeing your channel grow throughout the years! :)

love what you said about ad videos! the most honest transparent way i've ever seen a youtuber approach the topic. personally i don't understand why anyone would have a problem with ad videos, it's a great way for brands to market and it's your job so good for you! the only time i think it's ever an issue is when it becomes a literal advert with no personality or originality to the youtuber and what they create, for example a hair care routine where they use 5 products all from the same brand in the same range- i haven't learnt anything or got a good recommendation because it's clearly just an advert. when it's executed in an interesting way that stays true to the nature of the person and their channel which 90% of the time it does, and in your case it always does, i think it's great and it's great you seem so committed to staying honest and integral in terms of ads!

Hi Lily. I've been watching KZbin for years and have probably only ever commented on one or two videos ever, but seeing how nervous you were on Instagram Stories and Snapchat before posting, I thought I would just say that as a viewer I really appreciate these videos. I usually don't bother watching Q&As because they are so boring, just picking out easy comments about fluffy things. But this has really highlighted to me what a brilliant, unique creator you are. Please keep doing what you're doing, because it feels so authentic; and to be honest it's just so refreshing to see someone try to do different things on this platform, and not just do the safe option that everyone else is doing. And perhaps more of us that say we never comment should start commenting, because that should really help to give you a more balanced view of your audience's opinions, and drown out the thoughtless, hateful comments!

I love your honesty and one of the reasons why i watch your videos, I trust your opinions (e.g. when working with a brand.) Also, I like how you talk about what is going on in the world, not in a opinionated or manipulative way, just in a way that makes people aware, you are respectful. I know ad videos are just the way KZbin works nowadays, I know they allow you to have your career and I know ultimately they increase the quality of videos. We definitely wouldn't have the quality of videos we have now without them, that's for sure. But I can't help missing the old KZbin where it was all just a hobby and it was like getting recommendations from a friend in a small community! I still love youtube now but I started watching at 15 (now 23, what happened!!) and definitely get nostalgic for those videos 'back in the day'. Having said that, appreciate that you still value integrity and honesty, have really enjoyed these truthful Q&A's!

Absolutely loved both these Q&A videos. There are very few people who would have the courage to be as open and honest as you were and that is really refreshing as a viewer. It definitely creates great trust and likability! It feels like you're just having an intelligent conversation, rather than presenting. Thanks so much for taking the time to do these and I really look forward to more! Always love your content xx

You mentionned on snapchat that you weren't feeling comfortable putting this video up today, and i wanna thank you for doing it anyway (and snapchatting again!). I enjoyed both of your q&a's, they came across as honest and personal despite of the provocative questions you had to deal with. xx

Lily. Firstly Hi, as I don't often comment. You are by far a youtuber I have watched and admire for several years now. Little back story, I've watch you since I was in year 11 and I'm now in my final year at university, (I know mad). And I always catch myself admiring you not only as a creator but as a fellow women. Your honesty and transparency, in profession that in some ways is the complete opposite, is what I admire the most. I hope you know and understand I very much appreciate the efforts and time you put in your work and I always leave feeling so inspired and simply happy, as if i've had a great chat with a friend. I hope your feeling better after your long day, and know that amongst the negativity, and misunderstandings, I see you and appreciate your continuous efforts. Thanks for simply being YOU! xxx

I love what you said about some youtubers saying 'I want the views' whereas you say 'I want to be honest.' That shows your integrity right there, which is the whole reason why I enjoy watching your videos!

Ah Lily, I've watched your channel for 3 years and you are by far my favourite creator, I always enjoy your videos and your honesty. I'm 38 now & when I see you and Rich and your friends all together having fun I get excited about how spontaneous my husband and I can be as our children are growing up (all be it we've done things the opposite way round to you...kids young then spontaneity) Much love 💚

This is the best Q&A's I've ever watched from a KZbinr. You actually answered intellectual & interesting questions that people want to know the answers to (unlike 'what your favourite flavour of crisps' etc). Please do more stuff like this - I found it so interesting! Like a lot of other people in the comments, I have actually never commented on one of your videos (and very rarely do on anyone else's too) I just thought this was really refreshing & had to say something! Loved it :) xxxx

There are a lot of beauty and fashion-based youtubers that I watch and honestly, I love them all. But I just wanted to say that I love your honesty and how transparent you are to your audience. Even if I might personally not agree with an opinion you may have on a beauty product or a fashion trend (because everyone is entitled to their own opinion and everyone is different), I actually really value your opinion regardless. So thank you! Thank you for deciding to share your life and your experiences with us. It has been an absolute pleasure to watch your videos and I can't wait for more. Keep up the fantastic work Lily!

I totally get what you're saying about some KZbinrs getting assistants to edit their videos for them, it makes sense that when you grow you get someone to help you. BUT I feel like because the editing of the video has a huge impact on the quality of the video, it's almost like a video that wasn't edited by the KZbinr themselves isn't really "their work." It can make their videos much more entertaining or pleasing to watch but they've just paid someone to do that, which at the moment doesn't really sit well with me.

Aoife m I'm sure the original content creator has the final say on the finished product. I don't think having an editor takes away from the fact that it's still the content creators work. For example, I'm a blogger and if I were to hire an editor to look over my posts to make due things flow well, I'd still have a say in any of the changes they'll make. It doesn't take away from the fact that it's still 100% my original work.

I've been watching for probably 5 or 6 years now, I've met you in real life a few years ago and you're just as lovely in real life as you are on your channel. Lily I honestly admire how you come across online and put your opinions out to the world. You hit the nail on the head when you said about there being a time and place for most controversial topics, I would much rather discuss with people I trust than put them out on the internet because as we've all seen with many youtubers, once you say something online it's there forever which is hard because opinions do change and people change. Unfortunately the internet doesn't take into account that though someone may have said something in 2014, they may not still believe the same now in 2017. Thanks for being so sophisticated in the way you handle your online platforms 😊

The last comment you read hit the nail on the head. I've watched both Q&As and they've been really good videos because of the questions. You attract (mostly) like minded viewers and so the questions were more mature & I'm so glad u answered them in a direct way. I don't see why anyone would fine either videos offensive. (but then the Internet is a weird and wonderful place!)

I don't have issues with the ad videos as long as it's clear not just that it's an ad but to what extent. I see them in most cases as reviews especially when it's clear it's a true opinion of the youtuber. I do find it a little overkill when a number of youtubers advertise the same product at the same time for example say on a Sunday and several videos come up in my subscription box advertising the same thing. I then tend to only watch the ones I know I can trust for a true opinion but seems like a wasted video opportunity to stand out from the crowd. I also like to this that the youtubers have done the work for the video so editing etc. Obviously there are times I get it helps to have help...outfit shots for example but I like to think if I'm watching a lily pebbles video then it's truly a lily pebbles video (just using you as an example) Because your honest and a realist I trust your opinion and love watching your videos it just feels real and not put on just for the camera

Good on you Lily for standing up and saying that you are not obliged to express your personal opinions on politics on KZbin! As much as it is important to understand what is going on in the world around us, as a viewer, I am here to watch the videos you want to make! Whether they are beauty, fashion or lifestyle related (vlogs are my favourite), you're always producing something I'm interested in! It's crazy to think I've probably been watching your videos for over five years and there's definitely a reason I've stuck around! In my opinion, there are plenty of other sources to look at to seek out opinions on politics. Thanks for staying true to you!

I never comment , but I think it's so important for you to know that I think you are one of the most insperational people on youtube, so honest and grounded and just so relateable. You are such a wonderful person. I think the people who know you in real life are very lucky people and I if I reach the end of my life and I could look back and know I had a friend like you, I would be very satisfied. I think you should be also proud of yourself and how much you have achieved. I know as a viewer I don't know everything, but I'm just glad that you pop up in my supscription box every Sunday.

Hi Lily! I'm also one of those who never comment, but today I had to. I just wanted to say that you are one of the people who inspired me to start posting videos on my KZbin channel. I find your videos so genuine, especially this 2-part Q&A, not only did it showed your great work ethics but also how you're unapologetically yourself. I really admire that, hopefully I can keep learning from you throughout this journey. Thanks a lot!

I never normally comment on KZbin but I watch all of your videos and I wanted to say that I love your honesty and integrity, in this Q&A and throughout your other content. I know it must be hard to balance KZbin with your 'real' life but as a viewer I love the insight that you give us into your world and I think you get it just right! It's so refreshing to hear someone talk so openly and frankly about these topics which can be hard for viewers to understand and I feel like I understand you and the KZbin world so much better after these Q&As. So I felt really sorry for you when you spoke about negative/hate comments and putting yourself out there for people hiding behind their monitor screens who hurt you just because they can...
