You can def tell the lack of dynamic range from the neo compared to the mk2, but it's still usable with the right lighting. Like any camera you use. The trick is in the lighting. The mic is nice, I think there should be a little notch on the stand so it can lock into place, but you probably could see that as me being nit picky, but then again I wouldn't want to accidently drop something. I really like the keylight. I'm just a simp for any cheap lighting that works well with cameras. I would get a desk mount or something for it. Def a great investment. I would like to see them in black, but hey I'm just a random guy on the internet so my opinions don't matter. Great video dude. I enjoyed it.

While I DO appreciate Elgato finally realizing "Hmm, maybe not all consumers are oil barons", I do gotta say there are other, cheaper, more feature rich options out there that are just better quality to boot. Kind of a bit of a swing and a miss here

Nutty hitting us with the truth! Every USB-C I see makes me cringe a bit, because my 4 year old PC has 1 USB-C port. A single port that is of course already used by something. And how many people actually change out their MOBO or upgrade their MOBO? Not many I assume. But I also understand, imagine them shipping every product with a USB-A converter? That is a lot of extra waste that piles up over many years.

also USB-C is as durable as a wet tissue.. I have a few ports that are already failing after 2 years. while the USB-A's I have that are 20+ years old are solid..

I’m shopping for garlic bread as I listen to this. Maybe some muffin mix. We’ll see if they have my brahnd. Now that we have that out of the way, I went to my local Target hoping the “70% Off% deal was happening. They had a Key Light for $10 off MSRP and a Mic that was around $forty-sumn. I think they should’ve found a way for couch gamers (and streamers:) to utilize sumn. This last part is prolly just my fantasy, tbh. I hope this hasn’t discouraged elgato with hitting other markets in some way 😊

The non-detachable cable is so annoying, lol. I only have a Stream Deck Plus and was surprised to find out all of the other decks only have integrated cables. I use one PC for my "regular" games and also my sim rig, so I'm basically maxed out on USB ports and have to unplug stuff depending what I'm doing. It'd be a total pain to have to go to the back of my PC every time I want to unplug a stream deck. I guess I could just bundle up the integrated cable and use a separate extension. It's totally a first world problem but one that shouldn't exist, imo. Anyway, cool video!

I'm not going to lie I picked up the neo capture card and I couldn't monitor my audio with it the same way I used to easily be able to do so with my older Elgato capture cards :-(

Are you Australian? I knew you lived in Australia, but your accent is definitely American lol I agree about USB-C. My motherboard has ONE USB-C port on it, and while my case has two, the mobo doesn't have a header for front type c ports. I kinda hate it when people say "C is the future!" when ports for it are still rare on desktop PCs.

Like, I know the switch OLED and the PS5 are the newest kids on the block and are in white, but these aren't even marketed specifically towards the OLED or the PS5 funnily enough from what I've personally seen online. So, completely ruling out console gamers who have black consoles feels pretty awkward.

I was a hater of the CC at first, but the ability to use an iPad is a great feature! I know this channel is more about Nutarianism and not really a Fruitarianism kind of place, but it’s cool and helpful! Non-detachable cable is weakarianism. Honestly I would take any of them except for the mic at 70% off that’s for sure lol. Especially the SD (but the knobbi boi really toasts my walnuts).
