Really enjoyed your review Nathan. The Molenhof collection with Mayflower and Waltz King is ALWAYS sitting on my music stand - I think I got it when it first care out. I love playing these pieces, seems like once a week or so one just sort of slips into my vibraphone time. I don't play them the way they are written any longer and take great liberties with them - but that's how I approach it. Thanks for reviewing the Jan Freicher pieces - I'll order that today - very nice compositions. Andrei is remarkable and the Little Jazz waltz is a great little piece.

Anyone know any solos similar to A Little Jazz Waltz? I love it so much and I'm playing it now, but I'll need another solo for next year with at least that much difficulty :)

The vibraphone I use is the Yamaha YV-2700, which sells for about $4700 on Steve Weiss (I got mine used 5 or 6 years ago, for closer to $3200. Things were cheaper back then...). It has a great sound, packs up fairly easily, and has a swiveling pedal, which is a really big deal for me. I don't have much experience on any other brand or model, but I can easily recommend the Yamaha YV-2700
