I always thought Frank V and Ernie G were cool. I grew up in Santa Monica. I didn't know them but I dug their raps and love that they put Santa Monica on the map. I miss old Santa Monica. The town has changed too much. I miss the old days, the real people. Great video.

“Misadventures of Frank V”, “Fifty Pour” and “Hardest Latin Rap Artist” are my jamz!!! Frank V had a style of his own. Frank V was the Mexican Ice Cube. Straight up same style like Cube. No other Chicano rapper did it the way he did it. It was just hard! I don’t necessarily feel it sounded too Chicano bro. To me it just sounded like old school hip hop. Straight up dope MC!!! And props to Ernie G cuz dude was the one making them dope ass beats! What a fuckin sad story though. Dude could’ve been so much bigger but the vato was a fuck up. If he would’ve focused on his music career he could’ve been on top man. Smh

When Ernie g was on roadium radio he said frank v was talented but he would show up to studio sessions late or not even show up at all and other things that made it seem like he didn’t take rapping as career too seriously.
