Injustices come to all mankind no matter what the color. There are people out there that want to make this a race issue so they can divide people to weaken our society. Yes, there are racists but think about it, there are Christians around the world that are tortured, and martyred everyday for the cause of Jesus. I'm talking about true Christians, fully surrendered to Jesus that are willing to give everything up - fame, wealth, power, status, their careers - to follow the precious Lamb of God. Yes, it is a tragedy that George Floyd was murdered by a cold hearted killer(s) which was so painful to watch on video. But please don't let the devil fool you the real issue is about SIN, not race. (Christians are one body, no matter what the color through the precious blood of Jesus - That is what SOCIETY NEEDS). I pray that people get on their knees right now, in the precious name of Jesus and REPENT...America is going through judgement right now and the Lord in His mercy is giving us all a chance to repent, yes, even Christians, those that are lukewarm...please REPENT! I am a white police officer who has listened to T.D. Jakes' sermons for years now. I listen to him because I have a front row seat in a world full of hurt and pain that I see everyday in this job. I have been on the verge of losing my faith in humanity for many years now because of this job, and I feel God speaking to me through him. I'm so sorry for the death of this innocent man who did not deserve to have his life taken by those who swore an oath to protect it. We are all God's children ... George Floyd was my people too! I was so blessed by this conversation. I have gleaned so much wisdom from many of you for decades. I was so blessed to hear the acknowledgment of the problems and seeing the other issues that go along with these issues. I attended services at Redemption SC and got the privilege to attend while Bishop Jakes was visiting for conferences.I traveled as many weekends as possible to Greenville from NC just under Mount Mitchell to worship and learn from Apostle Ron. I understand how difficult change is in these areas. The county I live in has almost no color and if there is any people of color you never see them at night. I have wanted out of here for my son, and nephew I’m raising, for diversity and opportunity. We are stuck. Bishop Jakes is the only person I have heard acknowledge how poverty and region places you almost in the same place. I will never fully understand what the African American community suffers but I have tried. I love people and I’m a licensed Social Worker with so much to offer but cant seem to find a way out. I know that not many understand that but so many especially people of color don’t know how to change their situation but I have hope that discussions like this one you have so kindly shared with us may be the beginning of change.
