My thoughts on Janet's residency announcement.

Janet needs to bring in new dancers because her dance routines need to be refreshed with new elements in place. The production needs a complete overhaul and this is Vegas and we want a SHOW! Also, we need a new album ASAP!

It’s still a dream of mine for her to have Vegas residency where she paid tribute to all of her errors and dresses and them accordingly. I know there’s never happened, but I dream about it all the time. 😂

I watched her twice earlier this year. Very disappointed with the production, the lack of dancers, the choreography, etc. The great music and the fact that it's Janet Jackson carried the show. But besides that, it wasn't great. Janet did a better show at The Essence Fest though.

i think this is like her take on this tour. minimal settings and raw talent, powerful choreos. just her, the kidz and a live band, like "you come to see me, here i am". reminds me of prince piano&microphone. this tour is her highest grossing one, she could get big bucks for production if she wants

@thecat1250 although I did catch her multiple times lipsyncing. It was so obvious and bad. Still had a good time though, cuz it's Janet. I've been spoiled by seeing artists like Prince numerous times that I expect more from an artist. Especially, at that caliber!

@jerje-m3n yes, it was. But I noticed she sang live at the Essence Festival. On tour, she lipsynced 90% of the show.

@@Jr.III-187 i think is more of an issue of industry restraints, a tour is heavy and when u dance and move around so much takes a toll on the body, janet's healthier than madonna and prince at her age and can still move like hell bc she paces herself good.

@@mackattuh5420 I know Janet doesn't dance right. She is old and fat, let's be honest. She does a lot of diva walking and diva arms move and diva attitude but she doesn't go as hard as she used to, it's a lot of diva attitude. Speaking of which, the dancers should dance a lot more even if Janet can't. She is 58 and the dancers are 25/30. They should be dancing a LOT more.

In how many ways can you rehash the same songs over and over again? She needs to perform the same deep cuts . She is boring . Nothing new. No new music. Your expectations are problematic, and they prove that Janet is not innovating. Same songs over and over and over again. This is bad.
