I would absolutely love a series out of this, a short series maybe 6-7 episodes. That said, yeah the lack of a Sean fight was disappointing. Though the ending was beautiful.

One thing to point out about the episode is that it lacks different types of enemies, i wish we get to see the mc fought a disciple or a kickflash. I think one of my biggest gripes about the episode that the mc only fights gangsters, too much weapon fights instead of hand to hand, and sean was off screened.

My problem with it isn’t that it was short, it’s that it’s shorter than EVERY other game’s episode. Like the PAC Man episode is longer😭. It was really good, but we need more.

My only issue really was the lack of pak mei techniques, its a really big selling point for me, in the episode we really se a lot of weapon usage which is fine but it feels off. If it was this short but showed off many techniques it would've been waay better imo.

The older, the stronger. MC was a noob in first few minutes, but somehow he learned that Yang's moveset is better than his old ones when he reached Sean. Its like, fck off i'm gonna try my new skills on Sean, but died again with the move that Sifu never taught him😂😂

I still don’t know why they specifically chose the club to base the short off of. I also don’t like how the pendant is portrayed. It seems that instead of the instant revival and aging based on the amount of deaths, the MC has to keep trying in some sort of purgatory state, where he can seemingly still die again and only revives once he clear the death sequence successfully. It all seems like it was there to just add a cool visual. I also don’t like how the MC is seemingly nerfed. Overall a solid 7/10 for me, I just have some gripes.

Nerfed, how? In the game, people die A LOT of times first doing The Club, pretty faithful to the first run-through of a game.

The Club was probably the best choice considering how hard it was to get past it, being the playable level for the demo helps. Seems like they wanted to show the repetition it takes to make decent progress without having the MC truly die for a reset. Also, nerfed in what way? Cuz it kinda depends considering the kind of game this is, wouldn't it?

Honestly, the first batch of episodes was disappointing. I thought the teams behind the shorts would make cool stories out of the games they got, but instead it just seems like they focused more on pretty visuals and being accurate to the games. They could’ve still been faithful but do something cool. Love, Death and Robots had shorts with cool stories, and I thought this would’ve been the same. Also, that Pac-Man short is the equivalent of taking Bomber-Man and making him Edgy.
