This is low-key revolutionary. As indie filmmakers and content creators, we're either trying to make our tiny cameras look beefier with a cinema rig or larger cameras more compact with minimal accessories. This is taking a different direction, with a tiny camera and a tiny rig 😂. It's cute, does everything a larger rig does, but you can actually use it when travelling or if you really need to shoot a film in stealth mode. The bigger your setup, the bigger the reaction you get from people when you bust it out. You don't always want the attention. I never want it tbh.
@DanielPryde Жыл бұрын
Love the tiny build. For ingesting the uncompressed DNG's using Slimraw allows for all types of compression (lossy, lossless, 3:1, 7:1, etc) and also enables Premiere compatibility. Dark Power Labs also has some great tiny cage designs and ssd solutions.

Nice!! I have an alternate workflow to reduce size and maintain raw capability: buy the slimraw plugin! I use it to offload footage from my sd card to convert bmpcc (og) dng into compressed raw up to 7:1. Resolve handles them perfectly similar to braw. Transcoding them is almost the same speed as copying them. Slimraw also supports sigmafp footage. Cannot recommended them enough

I love the fp - I work with her over a year now. Just one thing about the Samsung SSDs: if you want to shoot in 4k ALWAYS use the T5! The T7 is too slow! So if you try to record with the T7 in 4k after about one minute recording will stop (reason: the cache reached its limit). If you do not believe me try it for yourself.

Cool build! What's your take on the Canon M as a so-called cinema camera? Also, it's my understanding that 4K resolution alone does not make a camera cinema quality, rather it's the ability to see and adjust various aspects of the image while shooting. Maybe you could talk about how your build compares to actual cinema cameras and why you consider it to be cinema quality. Do you think you could shoot an actual feature film on your camera? Why or why not?
