Hi Anthony. The tenderness of the steak depends on the cut of meat. Ribeye, porterhouse, T-bone and New York steaks are made for grilling. Get some steak seasoning and that is all you have to put on the meat. The next time get some corn on the cob and wrap in some of that foil and put it on the grill. Happy Sunday everyone and Happy mother's day to all the moms out there.
@OJ4HIRE8 ай бұрын
You are correct that cut of meat is made to sauté in a pan and such because it needs liquid to help it along, without the proper marbling you go from grilling to making a big piece of beef jerky lol

Also, tenderness can depend on how you cut/slice the steak, especially tougher cuts. You have to cut against the grain of the meat with thinner slices. And with thinner cut steak, cook only to medium rare and at most medium.
@gregoryburkhead78138 ай бұрын
Those cuts of meats are correct. But for his steak was the wrong way of cooking it. Basically a slow cook. Not good. He needed flames 🔥 and cooked 2mins on each side. But everyone learns its ok . He will get it

Hey Anthony!!! My grandma showed me how to start a fire at 23, and I haven't missed since then. I'm now 50, and I'd love to share what I was taught, with you, and any FOA that may need this info. Take care, and I hope it helps. To get the fire started. First, you'd remove your grate, then put your charcoal in a pyramid and saturate it with lighter fluid (leave grate off). Let it sit for about five minutes. Light the pyramid, and let it burn until the charcoal turns grey. Once grey, spread the coal out at the bottom of the grill. If you see any parts of the bottom of the grill (only for a LOT of meat), add more coal (unless you're cooking something that can stay in the center of the grate, like hot dogs, sausage, ONE or TWO steak(s), a couple wings, etc). Return the grate to the grill to let it get hot before the the meat is added. Vent the grill on the top, so there can be a constant airflow to keep the charcoal lit. Add your meat, close the grill and SLIGHTLY vent the top. Let the meat cook, and periodically check and turn it (the goal is to keep the direct heat in) until desired likeness.

Hey Anthony, when you have soaked your coals with lighter fluid, let them sit for a while for maximum absorption. About 10 to 15 minutes. Then go out and light your coals. This just gives them more burning capacity that will then turn them white.

My husband says you could have done a couple of things: 1. After seasoning, wrap the steak in foil on a bed of onions in the foil! Then poke holes in it! 2. Seasoned the steak with meat tenderizer and used a meat mallet to tenderize it! Then, let the coals cook down and place the steak on the grill and let it look slowly! Oh, and hubby said to season your meat the night before cooking! Great video! Great job!

Starting the grill: My father taught me how to start charcoals for grilling when I was a kid, so I'll share his way with you. I hope it helps. Take a piece of paper and ball it up tight. You can tear a piece off the charcoal bag or from a brown paper bag works best. Place the balled up paper in the middle of the tray then stack the charcoal all around and over making a little pyramid in the process. Take the lighter fluid and saturate the paper ball. You can also put a little fluid on the charcoal, but the paper ball will be the main source of heat. It works for me every time. Just be patient. The charcoal is ready when all its sides have turned grey.

Hi Anthony, when I'm having problems with the charcoals catching and staying lit, I fan them and that ignites and spread the fire without me having to drench them. It also helps the charcoals get gray faster. Side note: I don't purchase meat from Walmart, I find the quality in general is subpar. I find a local grocer and/or another grocery store to purchase my meats. Walmart just recently had a major recall on their ground beef. Also, they maybe selling genetically modified meat (lab grown).

Im glad you decided to try eating up most of what you have. You really have to be careful with fresh meat and frozen items. As a rule fresh meat is good for about 3-5 days in which eat it up or freeze it. I worry sometimes that you over buy don't think you will have room for everything. Shop wisely. Try canned vegetables and some canned meats. Think about how you will store them and how you will eat them. Has anything ever gone bad and you had to toss it out. I dont like waste and usually nothing goes to waste with me but sometimes they do. I hate that. Good luck

@@tinasan3870 I don't know how deep his inside freezer is it might be a little decent but still when he pulls out all this frozen items and meat I think Anthony where are you going to put all these perishable items at like in his first Walmart haul. He says that he's got an outdoor fridge and freezer that freezes his milk and the one inside doesn't keep them cold enough. That's usually because his freezer is overly stocked and the cold air doesn't want to do it's job down below. It's hard to explain.i have the same problem with my home refrigerator it's a magic chef and it's energy efficient. It used to keep my milk real cold but now with my freezer over stocked the fridge doesn't get enough cold air. He said he is trying to lose weight so he should forget about his milk and cookies and cake. Know what I mean. I struggle with my weight too.

Hi Anthony!I have that same grill, so here's a little tip to make clean up easier and your grill last longer. Take some of that heavy duty foil you bought and wrap the tray with it. After the BBQ cools off you can take the tray to an outside trash can, peel away the foil and toss it in the trash. The tray still gets dirty, but you avoid the sticky drips that get crusty and never come off no matter how hard you scrub! Happy grilling and take care!
@margowilson71518 ай бұрын
Hey Anthony - When you light your grill, what helps me is when you soak the charcoal, and open the chute on the side to enable air to flow that helps the fire to be consistent and it gets really hot and my food cooks well and in no time at all - hope that helps!

Hello Anthony, glad to see another video. Just a little advice and all depends on the cut of the state that you get and I was trying to depend on what kind of state you got because it’s not a New York strip or porterhouse or a ribeye It looks like it doesn’t even look like a flank steak. if there is a steak, you have to cook that for a long time that’s not a steak you use for grilling if it’s a flank steak, your grill has to be extremely hot, which yours wasn’t because I could look at and they wasn’t white. They were a little bit white, but you were the sizzle soon as you put that steak on there and then 3 to 4 minutes later, you will flip that over for flank steak or New York strip or ribeye you may leave it on there for five minutes each side. Your heat is extremely hot. You never leave a steak on the grill at least 20 minutes. Never just a little advice. I know you’re not a chef. I’m not a chef. I’ve been cooking long time. I just wanna give you a little friendly advice, next time you want a steak with a cowboy ribeye
