If you could only get one of those lisle electrical disconnect pliers, which one would you get?
@EzTechJoe

Probably the straight disconnect pliers. I find myself needing that the most. I guess it depends most on the kind of equipment you work on

I've held off long enough on getting the Lisle electrical connector pliers. Amazon has had some good discounts on those lately. And I've got a couple of Koken ratchets and absolutely love them, especially the Z-series. But I've got one of their 24 tooth ratchets, and I swear it's just as smooth.

I used to always pull connectors with hose pliers but working on European cars I found out the hard way they break easily. I'd buy those in a second if I were working on something with more resilient connectors though

Aw yeah man It makes things easier. And it doesn't cost to much of a grip, so it's low risk to give it a shot.

Aye appreciate that, and man, they are awesome bro. I honestly didn't think I would like them as much. Although I'm affiliated with them now, I still might head over to tech choice tools because they have crazy deals over there right now. The only thing I wish koken had was locking flex head ratchets. The detents are good but its nothing like having the option to lock it. That is my only gripe about the koken ratchets.

You've had good luck with those 1st two versions of the Lisle disconnect pliers? I just didn't have good luck with them and ended up reaching for my Merry pliers basically every time. The newest versions look very similar to the Merry versions and like they'll work really well, but i haven't tried them yet. I just didnt like the 1st two versions. They were basically useless to me and were very limted in their application.

Could you have got yourself a better and cheaper 1/2 impact gun instead of a snap on? A lot of those snap ons are way over priced and under perform, compared to the Milwaukee and Dewalt. Actually, all the the power tools you showed, Dewalt makes a better power tool and the battery is much better too. The snap ons batteries are crap out. I bought a 1/2 snap on a few years ago, battery crapped out and it lacked power. Got the Dewalt DCF 961 and haven’t looked back.

Something being "better and cheaper" is subjective. Snap-on has given me zero problems. And I actually run dewalt power tools. And have had each tool that I've shown here in dewalt, and what you said is not true at all. Snap-on is 10 times better. Expensive? Yes. But there is no way you're telling me that dewalt cordless ratchet is better than Snap-on. I know for a fact having Both that is not true. But that is my opinion, and also my money.. and the DCF961 is great, but also, it's overkill.. at that point, just grab a 3/4 impact, but everyone has a different taste in tools. And for now, this is minne

My friend gets his snap on batteries rebuilt by a local business. He was paying $35 but it's been a while so I'd assume $50-60 in today's money. I'm perfectly fine using Milwaukee and DeWalt though
