I read so many great books in 2024, but I think the number one is "I who have never known men". I read it months ago and still think about it all the time. Could not put it down and finished it at 4 am on a week night when I had to work the next day - it was worth it!

My favorite book of the year was Divine Rivals, I just loved the romance but I just related so much to Iris when she goes to the war, that jump of changing your life drastically and feeling like you are ready for a change and trying to make a change in the world. It touched me sm✨ Love your videos sm, your accent it’s so soothing🫶🏻

I'm so glad to see Broder's Death Valley on this list. I was pleasantly surprised by her previous novel, Pisces, for it's bold writing style and protagonist that you love to hate. I still haven't gotten around to Death Valley but really want to read it (even more so now that I've heard your thoughts on it).

If you love the concept of sentient homes & building carrying memories can I recommend North Woods by Daniel Mason - it’s a historical literary fiction novel that explores one house & everyone who lives in it over the course of a few hundred years, as well as how their stories all intertwine in the end x

i would love to read a clarice lispector, but i don’t know where to start ;-; do you have any recommendations, that are accessible? my number one book of the year was a beautiful german book about chronic and mental illness, friendship and writing. (weltalltage by paula fürstenberg for any german speaking girlies here) but my second favorite was my dark vanessa by elizabeth russel, that book 😖😵‍💫 it was intense

I started with Agua Viva (incredibly short but it’s very stream of consciousness so it depends if you already like that narrative), but Near to the Wild Heart is my favourite that I’ve read yet so I’d say that one!
