Chanel No 5! My all time favourite! I feel so sophisticated and elegant when I wear this perfume, I know a lot of people say that it's the typical "grandma" smell. But I just don't feel the same. I love love love it!

Love perfume collections! My all time favorite is Guerlain Mitsouko edp-my first from that house. It’s a chypre, which I’ve finally learned are my favorite fragrances. I just can’t get enough of it. Also, I’m glad to see a video featuring truly different scents...not the Juicy this and that, etc etc etc. 😉

I like Joy by Jean Patou and Enjoy by the same, original Poison, The original Dolce and Gabanna Red, So pretty by Cartier, Coco Channel, Chance and Alure by Channel, Old Fendi, and Beautiful by Estee Lauder.Poem by Lancome, Guerleon Insolace, Amirage by Givenchy.These are my absolute favourite. I love them all. Unfortunately some of them is discontinued and hard to find now.

If you like spicy perfumes that are sophisticated and warming, look into Serge Lutens! My favorite one of the entire line is Serge Noire, a warm, somewhat "dark", spicy perfume that feels like a blanket when you wear it on a cold winter night! Love it!

Great video. Love to talk perfume. I am a bit opposite as I like berry fruity citrusy ones. Nina is my most worn, Daisy, Light Blue, Tendre Poison. Most recently I purchased Dot, fabulous bottle and scent.

Mitsuoko by Guerlain, closely followed by Un Jardin Sur Le Nil by Hermes. The Hermes has green mango,lotus flowers and aromatic rushes mingling with incense and sycamore wood. Mitsouko is like nothing I have ever smelt. Need to try for yourself. A classic from 1919.

Absolutely loved this video Jodi! Perfume is my number one beauty love. Love all that you showed, nice to see some classics in there. I am a really fruity floral gal, my top 5 would be Marc Jacobs Daisy, Marc Jacobs Dot, Viva La Juicy La Fleur by Juicy Couture, Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana and Chance by Chanel. I do have another fave which is Paris by YSL. I've always had a love for this perfume, as it has always reminded me of something, but I've never known what. It isn't a perfume my mum wore when I was growing up. It wasn't until a few months ago I was staying at my aunts house and found a YSL Paris hand cream, and asked my aunt about it and she said she has worn that perfume for many many years. Mystery solved as to why I have always loved it, she used to babysit me when I was little.

Joy is actually a jasmine scent and many jasmine petals go into making it, not rose like you said. Love your taste in perfumes though. Always wanted to try Violet Blonde, I'm guessing it smells of violets?

We have similar scent taste, You love strong, floral and vibrant scents as me. Roberto Cavalli, Sublime and Insolence are also in my top 10. Acqua di Gio - also highly rated. I don't know Estee Lauder, Donna Karan's Cashmere and Violet Blonde. Think they might be super pleasing to me :)

I have a few fragrance types that I like, but the main Three I gravitate towards are Gourmand, fruity, and sweet floral My favourite perfume ever is Urban Rituelle Cotton Candy, it smells so yummy! I adore Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire, but I can't spend that much on perfume until I use up a lot of the many perfumes I already have! haha

Violet blonde ooohh yesssss ! Beautiful, definitely recommend myself, hard to get as discontinued but it’s lovely. Hypnotic Poison eau sensualle is amazing, your like that one ! Prada Infusion d iris edp is amazing too :)

Hi Jodi! loved this. Idea. So interesting to see other peoples choices, especially as I am oriental floral fan also and was interested to see if you liked any of my favourites. The only one we shared is chanel Coco. I love chanel no 5 but it smells awful on me. Hate that when something smells great on other people but not on you! I am a fan of guerlain perfumes! they are quite strong and very long lasting. You mentioned you like the powdery smell and I wondered if you have ever tried Guerlain Dhalimar - it is very powdery. I don't actually like insolence but my favourites are Guerlain L'heure blue and nahema. They're both expensive so I usually wait until Mother's Day or Christmas and hope they have them out on special at DJ's or myer😀 I'm definitely going to try Joy again and lookout for some of the others you have mentioned. I too wear different perfume depending on season or wether it's day or evening. I was surprised you didn't mention Opium as that is a class oriental. I love it but usually only wear it in winter. Was looking at it the other day actually and thinking about time I could start wearing again. Another summer favourite is J'adore. I must say I love my perfume and am prepared to spend quite a lot on it.

I used to have Estee Lauder's Beautiful and DK Cashmere Mist, I also love sweet and spicy perfumes. I want to try violet blonde and Insolence but I just smelled Black Orchid from Tom Ford and I must tell you it is Beautiful, sweet and spicy. I'm in love with it.

Hello Jodi! Checking in to see how you’re doing during lockdown. How are you and your girls doing? I do hope you’re doing well and staying safe! I happen to come across this “fave scents” video and it is so lovely! I am allergic to perfume, since I was a teen( especially the super sweet floral scents ) for example Joop! from back in the day, omg, a nightmare. Could you do an update? Now in 2020 you may have some new faves, or not, but I am on the hunt for a new fave scent, because the French Canadian company that made the only perfume I could wear, went bankrupt last year. It was lovely, called “Dans un Jardin” and the perfume...I stocked up on Mûres Sauvage had blackberry top notes and base notes of Patchouli. I get compliments on it all the time, and I cannot even smell it except at the outset, on the initial spray. They say if a perfume is meant for you, you won’t be able to smell it on you. Have you found that to be true? You have an impressive gorgeous perfume collection I will try some these if I can find them. Quite interesting video. I'm a perfume junkie but I don't have most of these from your collection, hah. I'm in my 20's, can I wear any of those Chanel's one? I always get confused. When I went to store and wanted to buy the Chanel no 5, the lady in the store said I was perhaps little too young to use that and usually that'd be perfect for more of a mature woman. But I went and bought that one anyway cause I loved the scent!

I'm not a huge fan of the Chanel perfumes myself. Maybe as I get older I will like them better but I do like the pink one in a round bottle if u have a chance to smell that, I'm sure u will like it! :)

Didn't know perfume had such a short shelf life! oops. :( haha. I finally saved up and got two marc jacobs perfumes this summer, so fresh and oh lola. they're amazing. kinda my 'grown up' perfumes, love all of his. Don't know that I'd like any of your faves, I think my mum would love them though :)

Ally I think their shelf life is more than one year. I have one stored correctly from 1999 and it is wonderful. Storage is so important!

you are funny..! It depends on the skin's chemistry. Believe me on some people it smells like a most divine scent you could ever imagine. The same with Chanel no 5. My aunt used it and it was gorgeous on her, but when I tried it on me it was only an 'old' very uninteresting powdery something.. This is the great mystery of fragrances...
