Hi Angela, I LOVED this video! Thank you for all these tips, they are amazing and I can't wait to test them all soon. I'll especially remember "be interested, not necesserily interesting". I love when you do this kind of videos so I'm super happy right now haha. They're like mini "level up" sessions ^^. Have a great rest of the week! xx

Thank you for those ideas Angela...in our new business we have a lot of competition in the field which can be a little daunting at times but when we ask what is needed and find a way of providing that for our client by being flexible I feel we are on track to success. Many businesses don't get too involved and say it's not something they do and leave the client there. Enjoy your day.

I’m heading to a Business Chicks conference this coming Monday so this video you did back in 2017 was a great reminder about how to make the most of my networking, THANK YOU 🙏

Love these tips! I find it helpful to add notes after the event on each person's business card, especially of you have been chatting to alot of people.

One of the very best videos I have seen on this topic! I would love to see your top 10 tips on company social events and overcoming shyness. I'm attending one in a few weeks and I'm looking forward to the conference and doing my presentation but thinking about the social event that evening really gives me anxiety.

great tips! thanks for sharing, Angela! I know I have been guilty of some 'don'ts' in the past but I think it had a lot to do with nerves and trying too hard to impress people

I hate when networking events feel like a bunch of cliques. People forget it's called a networking event for a reason. Good tips!

The Givers' Game. I love that! It also puts it out into the universe so you get it back. I have a tip that has served me well for many years, and it's for introverts or shy people. I just pretend I'm someone else, like someone I admire...Sheryl Sandberg, for example. Pretty soon I feel like myself, and I forget I'm an introvert.

That is a GREAT tactic! I feel like I put on a character each morning as I put my make up on.. it's like my amour! Then I go into the trenches!!

So helpful Angela! Love it! The only question about your tip No.8, when you refer your business contacts to somebody you just know. Is it OK to do it? I am thinking my contacts might not like what I am doing as they are totally two strangers and what if the new person approach them in an offensive way? What's your thought on this? Thank you!!

Thank you for your tips! I have a question to me following up seems like I'm bothering them or I think they're not interested in having a follow up from me or that a follow up doesn't seem that genuine. If people have followed up with you after a networking session do you feel this way especially if they're a student?

Good question!

Good question! I don't feel bothered at all. Especially if you can make the follow up relevant to the conversation we had.. or perhaps it's in reflection of a conversation we have had. I think you need to be thinking about.. 'what can I offer them that might be helpful' ... I think it's about forming a connection and working from that too. Hope that helps. Also.. try thinking outside the square.. everyone emails.. what else can you do to follow up? A personal hand written note with your business card and perhaps a great business book that was relevant to her conversation?
