Vancouver is very dog friendly! You can take your dog on the water ferry from Granville Island to take a mini-tour. We stay at the Sylvia Hotel on English Bay which has nice pet rooms-great staff and close to Stanley Park-once took a 6 hr hike through the park with my dog and we both had a great time exploring. Gastown is our fav place also especially the galleries with excellent Alaska Native and Canada's First Nation art. The bus system is superb along with all the other public transportation. My son lived in Vancouver while attending UBC University of British Columbia-visit it for the museums and gardens-you can also stay on campus! In Vancouver you can experience city life at the best while feeling safe.

boomshroomgoonmoon. I have lived in multiple countries. I am 20 years old. I have lived in scotland, England, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. I have to say Pakistan has best night life of all. Vancouver has worst night life but best for out door activities. People in vancouver are too fake and not very social. But if you have friends and you like out door activities, it's the best.(worst part restaurant close after 12).

Vancouver is top, the sad thing is watching this living in Brazil, having to work five years without even buy a pair of shoes so to be able to buy the ticket and pay the rent give to live three months. Therefore less grating to breast Brazil . BE GRATEFUL WITH GOD EVERY DAY for living in a country without violence, with educated people and good economy.

UBC is on my short list of universities to transfer to. I want to get out of the heat so badly I can hardly even stand it. Where I live (California) is pretty much always hot, brown and dead looking and I've hated it my whole life. I think I'll take a trip up to Vancouver in spring and see what it's like up there. From what I've seen in my research, I'll love it. I can't even imagine having the dead of summer being around 23(72F). That's like heaven compared to around 38(100)+ that it gets where I live regularly in the summer and stays there. Just the weather and climate alone are enough for me to want to book a 1 way ticket, then add in the gorgeous scenery and forests that it has and that it's just beautiful... It also looks like it's going to have good opportunities for people with my major, so I can't really see a down side... even if after graduation I end up moving somewhere less expensive, I'm sure I won't regret going. I would love to run those forest trails and bike the city. *sigh*... that feeling when you know you were born in the wrong place...

As a Vancouverite since 1984, do keep in mind we're in the middle of a rain forest and therefore it does tend to be overcast and gray with a large amount of rain.
@coralaisly8 жыл бұрын
Tim Chisholm That's part of why I want to go. I love overcast days, I think they're the most beautiful, and I sleep best when it's raining. Rain is my favorite type of weather, second only to snow, but I don't want to deal with an absolute ton of snow. A little is perfect for me, and if I want more, I'd be happy traveling a little to a deeper snow area.

hi there. I am really interested in the weather situation I have the possibility of gaining an internship with my company so need as much help and advice as possible! I live in England so the most of the time its grey and gloomy so I don't think this would be a shock to the system however in terms of Vancouver I have heard two different stories regarding the dreaded rain over there, is it non stop all day most days or is this over hyped? Any help is appreciated!
