Just found your channel and going through your older videos. 3 and a half minutes in, I'm already hooting and hollering that you have Harvest Moon 64 and Gauntlet Legends in your top 20! These are great games!!! You're not crazy, you've got great taste!

gauntlet it by far one of if not my favorite i remember me and two of my neighbors would have sleep overs when we were little and would play this game all night, so many memories :) great video

With the Nintendo 64 being my favourite console of all time, this really encourages me to think of my own top 20 list. The top 3 are obvious, but like you said in your SNES video, having a top 20 really makes you think, and prioritize aspects of enjoyment you get from games. A thumbs up from me!

Nice list so far! Pokemon Snap and F-Zero X will always be some of my favorite N64 games and me and my friend still pop in Gauntlet Legends and play it for a while to this day! Can't wait for part 2!

actually, dk 64 had the expansion pack because a game breaking glitch was found, and they couldn't discover what caused it before the release date. However, the expansion pack inexplicably fixed it. They still don't know what caused the glitch.

Shadowman and Nightmare Creatures are interesting choices. I could never get into them myself. It's amazing though how memories can overcome a games deficiencies.

I mean, 225 comments on the video means that about 10% of everyone who's watched the video has commented, given that about half of the comments are from nescomplex himself, which is also really cool. Aw man I remember a lot of those games. I remember my brother and I always playing Perfect Dark for hours and hours on multiplayer. We always banned the farsight lol it was just too powerful! Awesome video and I can't wait to see the top 10!

I've seen quite some lists and this is the only one I actually really strongly agree with. Thank god you put Pokémon Snap in it aswell, I remember buying this game in the store when I was younger and just be like: hmm what ever. And it blew my mind. Can't wait for the 10-1 countdown! Rare... You are so right. I really miss Rare, too. What would the Gamecube and Wii have been like with sequels to Jet Force Gemini, Perfect Dark, Banjo... Microsoft has really used them ineffectively imo

Interesting list. My top 3 N64 games: 3 - Bangai-O 2 - Mischief Makers 1 - Sin and Punishment. Yes I pre-ordered and own them. They stand the test of time. TREASURE, nuff said.

Fantastic list so far! Nice to see Jet Force Gemini on your list, haha it's #1 for me. My favourite game of all-time actually. Gauntlet Legends is very underrated, I would always play it at a friend's house in 4 player co-op mode and had a blast. Even though the SNES is my favourite console, most of best nostalgic memories are with the N64.

You're right... I could have... but I didn't. Maybe if I had the time to capture enough footage from 20 games I would do that... but I have a full time job, a family, and other things I like to do in life. Making videos once a week is pretty time consuming as it is... I tried my best... and for a free video I think I did alright.

I think most gamers were into Playstation at the time... I'm a teacher and it's a shame that kids are so one sided about favorite systems. There are amazing experiences across the board. You should get an N64 and some games. It's pretty awesome.

Great video Chris. The N64 was such a revolutionary system; the quality of games on it is incredible. So glad you mentioned rogue squadron as that games visuals and fluency still impresses me to this day. Donkey Kong 64 is a great platformer also. its is rightfully not regarded as highly as the banjo series and mario 64, but is still a grt game. A great first half, I can't wait for the 2nd part to see if your top 3 matches men.

It really does, but the entire library only had 296 games so it was tough to be a N64 fan in those days.

Really glad to see New Tetris on here. It's sadly a game to get lost in the mix of all the tetris releases but I loved it for many of the reasons you gave. It'd probably make my 20 too.

I think people have their favorite genres and that definitely impacts their rankings. FPS have definitely come a long way since the N64.

I'm glad to see this list, I find with the N64 top ten or top 20 lists that a lot of people put up its very predictable, really of my fault of the games, a lot of people tend to like a lot of the same games for that system. Its always nice to see some originality when it comes to the N64, I find with that system there are a lot of hidden gems that a lot of people never played, and I like the fact some of the popular N64 games made the bottom 20.

In the end, my list has a lot to do with how much I still play the game and Goldeneye sees far less play than others. Also I never had the same nostalgic connection to it that many gamers did.
