I first really got into Pixies working at Panera back in 2012. I worked the eggs shift and one of the bakers played them. Good stuff

The way you feel about the Postal Service is the same way I feel about Wild Nothing's "Nocturne" album. Exact same connection for me. It was an album I associate with my "first love" back in 2012 and "our song" was "Only Heather" (even tho that wasn't her name). Very, very difficult for me to even think about listening to it. Thanks for sharing your list! I appreciate all those 80s synthpop groups too...love the Human League and Gary Numan and the Smiths too...I'll definitely have to check out some of the rap though as honestly I've never found/been given a great entry point into the genre

Thanks for your thoughtful comment. It feels good to know that someone has a connection to an album like I do with someone else. I think it’s incredible how deeply music can have an effect on us emotionally. Let me know what you think about the hip hop albums. I’d say start with the Mobb Deep album. That will give you a taste of straight forward hip hop.

I’d say the Audio Technica LP60 is the best cheap turntable. I currently have a Music Hall mmf 1.3 that I like a lot. It’s been doing me good for a few years now.

Really good stuff!! A surprise to see the Nature and Organisation on there! Fantastic album especially that opener w/ Rose McDowall. You may be familiar with related act Current 93, I'd really recommend them, their run from the early to mid 90's--same time as N+O, really captures a similar feeling. Their new stuff is great too but a little different, bit less folky and even more experimental, post-rock influenced. An Introduction To Suffering is a great 'compilation' (has only unique versions and unreleased tracks) of the 90's era which has seen pressing. Another recommendation in this vein would be TwinSisterMoon - When Stars Glide Through Solid, and their parent project Natural Snow Buildings. That's my favorite band, if I to pick one, since I was in highschool. Also...And Justice For All is so underrated outside of Metallica lovers, great include. Really a thrash masterpiece, and I feel like a lot of metalheads write the band off without having ever really listened to this one. Final rec to you is gonna be Clue To Kalo - Come Here When You Sleepwalk. Based off what you said about The Postal Service. A real hidden gem and cathartic album for me, maybe something you can enjoy since Postal has been tough to listen to. Anyways, thanks Tyler for sharing! I always love getting recommended these vids of random peeps sharing their collections, I always find cool shit I never knew about and there are a couple albums from your list I for sure want to check out now.

Thank you so much for your awesome comment. It means a lot to me that you took the time to write that out. I do know about Current 93 but have tried to get into them more but just haven’t been able to. I will check out that compilation you mentioned for sure and all the other recommendations you have for me. Please let me know what you think about the albums that you discovered from my video. I’d love to hear what you think.
