Your Melodic Soloing with Triads is such a fantastic course. I've watched dozens of lessons about triads from some of the best players around, but you are gifted at breaking down the subject in the most digestible way. And that course was free!! I owe you, and am happy to buy both the Hendrix and BP courses today.

Thanks so much! Glad to hear you loved that course.

Hi Ross. This mini lesson is pure gold. I've been played 'Hey Joe' since long time ago and knew it was circle of 5th but never figured out much of all those in between passages followed that hack. I'm a happy owner of BPBG and surely will be of your new course.
@tawraste27 күн бұрын
This is a really great idea, and very easy to implement. I quickly threw four chords together using these ideas and my family immediately asked me "whose song is that?". Very cool. Also, using the alternate voicings makes it very easy to change keys mid bar.

This superb Ross! I have already started laying into this kinda use of triads. Thanks to your Bullet proof guitar course and using the technique of circle of fourths to practice the triads. But i will be definitely buying this course to hone in this super awesome melodic Hendrix technique. Thank you brother🙏

Jimi's bends were insane! Tjats what really stands out to me when I revisit his music
@BostonWhoFan515Ай бұрын
Anyone who studies Jimi's bends knows that he over-bends quite often when playing live... but he's Jimi so he somehow makes it work. He admits it in an interview. Lots of people fault him for it. I'm not one of them. I think the stuff covered in this video is the true genius of Hendrix. Those inverted triads and embellishment fills. No one was doing that and he was playing during a time where guitar gods roamed the earth. Clapton, Page, Beck, Townshend, Gilmore, Santana, Iommi, etc. He had serious competition in each of those players, but he just had a style that was so different that he stood apart. But the stuff covered in this video is the essence on his sound.
@andrejz895422 күн бұрын
@@BostonWhoFan515 I can't for the life of me figure why Blackmore never mentioned. He was at least on the same level as Clap, Page, Iommi, Gilmore..
@BostonWhoFan51522 күн бұрын
@andrejz8954 of for sure! I love his Rainbow stuff. I wasn't naming the "only" guitar gods. Just the ones that instantly came to mind. I'm a massive Townshend fan. I know he doesn't solo as much as others do, but he had John Entwistle and Keith Moon in the band. Someone had to lay down the rhythm. I'd put him up against anyone when it comes to rhythm playing. He can solo his ass off, too.

Awesome video! One thing tho, it may be my pet-peeve, but some of the cut-outs when you stop talking are a bit jarring at points. I get it, noise gates on vocals do that. But it could really use a 1min loop of dead silence from the “mic in room sound” or some non-tonal atmospheric audio completely fixes that. :) Once again, you’re one of the best YT guitar teachers! 🤘👽
@RossCampbellGuitaristАй бұрын
That dead silence loop idea is really good actually. I'd never considered doing that. I agree that it sounds a bit jarring! Thank you
