So I grew up in Miami trolling for mani with my dad. I now live in Northeast Ks also and I am getting into trolling for wipers with my kids and this helped me tremendously. Thank you!

Enjoy your videos, have you tried flutter spoons in summer to early fall, it’s my favorite way to catch striper here in SC. Not positive, but it should work there as well. Keep those good shows coming. 👍

Grest video. I would be interested in how you tie up your double crappie rigs and the baits you use.

I prefer a 7'-7'3" medium strength with moderate action. The moderate action really allows you the rod to bend and absorb the shakes, like a medium light strength rod would, but gives a bit more strength to reel in Biggins. Now I do have a medium light with a fast action that, while it is so light that with any Force the entire rod will bend, it really only wants to bend on that tip.

On the lake side of the dam on Pamona lake in Osage County is a steller place to land wipers from the shore during this time of year.

Hi , I just started fishing for wipers. I live in Utah. We have mountain type reserviors deep clear.. We have no shad just a lot of crayfish and mountain suckers and clubs for forag and also crappies. . Me and my brother have been fishing in area just above the were the inlet comes into reservior it's about 10 to 19 feet deep. The nights get very cold and days warm up. In early morning we catch most of our fish. We use gulp minnows and top water. They don't seem to hit any of big baits expect for the zara spook in the morning. Any advice plus the day fishing is almost nonexistent. We see them on depth finde but no action. We have not fished them any other season yet.

Im going to refer back to this video when Spring Whitebass fishing hits here in Southern, Missouri! I think it will be interesting to get away from the same ole bucktail jigs, sliders, and swimming minnows and learn some different techniques like you showed! Also if I was off work Saturday the 18th I would be heading to KC to shake your hand!

Do you have a video on how your fish a spoon for wipers?

I don't because I don't use them much.

Also we have not been using th heavy gear you talk about on your show. We seem to have luck with 2 to 3 in gulp minnows and big zara spooks. It's like they prefer downsize lures. Any advice on gear and a good reaction type bait for this situation.

braid has been around even before mono , antique reels made in the 30s always had braid in them .old timers would take the braking gears out of their reels and could cast across the lake

Thanks for the tips for Wiper. Pretty cool you have mostly custom color baits for walleye. I have a lot of the stock colors but I airbrush some of my own as well! Cool channel! I have a similar style for mine, doing mostly Colorado Fishing. Subbed!

I’d use a jig head with a wire keeper rather than a lead collar. VMC mooneye jigs work great too.

Yeah, unfortunately it won’t be active until the rods are in stock ready to ship, hopefully in the next 30-40 days from what I understand!

@@KansasAnglingExperience ya I’m out here in Texas and during spawn they tear the flats up and a lot of them love there throughout the year too so that’s my go to. During summer I jig the humps with swim baits and they hammer them as well. Gonna have to try that rapala!
