Rail Pass sounds like my kind of game - NO ONE CAN TALK! Perfect game to play with my in-laws

You'll really focus on their "toots" though...

Coconuts is a blast, even starting as soon as 2 years old 😅 My 2yo son launched a coconut on my head and had the most infectious laugh ever. He couldn't stop aiming for my head afterward and had lots of fun. (He could also play it properly when he wanted)

Thanks for reviewing my design "Rail Pass". Couple of nit picky notes: the direction the train is facing never matters EXCEPT when passing through obstacles (see Moving/Swapping Trains in rules). Your video shows a train going backwards through a tunnel. You may also use your free hand to steady the tunnel component if you wish. I have come to realize that many players play that you can ONLY say "Toot Toot". Consider that a house rule. Technically the rule book only requires that you say it when you intend to pass a train to another player (also in same rules section as above). The publisher added the words "(this is mandatory!)" as a joke. I originally intended it as a strong suggestion to keep the game a little silly but you are free to talk above and beyond the "Toots" . I also realize some people refuse to make childish train noises. Not a big deal either way, as the players still have the pressure of delivering as much cargo before time runs out. Thanks again for your kind words.

Man, what a charming channel. I love your musical interludes, your game choices here and your dancing and humor. I've never seen this channel before, and briefly mistook you for foster the meeple bc I've mild face blindness, but rest assured you have a new sub

'Top' top 5 list of Dexterity games. I had never heard of four of these games. Will definitely try some with my family.

Loved the “toot toot” bit. But I wonder why they chose toot toot and not choo choo.

That can be a house rule! "Choo Choo" for a normal pass and "Toot Toot" for a sad pass!

Designer of the game here. The game publisher shortened it. My original rules only suggested that players make lots of different train noises while playing: Choo Choo, toot toot, hissing steam sound, etc. Back story = This idea was inspired from a short story, "University Days" by James Thurber where the class is using sounds as clues while trying to get the star football player to name a mode of transportation and say "Train".

I will forgive your mortal sin of omitting Crokinole as you did a Crokinole how to play video right after this. My best example of my love for crokinole comes from a post I saw about a year ago: "I love crokinole so much I would grab my board before my wife and kids in a house fire... Just kidding, I do not have a wife and kids since the fire..." While I would probably grab my family, and definitely my dogs, before my board the board would be high on the list of things to save :-) My family loves another dexterity game which as gone through a name change. Originally it was Rampage but was renamed Terror in Meeple City (a stupid name but Rampage was the name of a classic giant monster arcade game and they ran into copyright issues.) Sadly it appears to be difficulty to find at the moment but I highly recommend it when a reprint comes along.

I think this is my Top 5: 1) Menara 2) Flip Ships 3) Riff Raff 4) Catacombs 5) Magic Maze Your list is great too! I've seen folks playing Rail Pass - this might be my cue to purchase it!

Nice list! I just could never get the flipping and accuracy for Flip Ships, but I love the concept. Riff Raff is a classic! I think I play it at least once per year at BGG CON.
