I just found your channel. I see you have ranked them 7.5-8/10. I wonder what ranks in your 10/10. My Top 3: The Collector by John Fowles (dark, disturbing and literary; not sure why this isn't more liked), Demon Copperhead (surprisingly, it won a Pulitzer - but you shouldn't hold that against it), Stiff (non fiction about what happens to cadavers - superb and funny but not degrading) Best of the rest: Disgrace (by Coetzee), Pale Fire, Doctor Zhivago, Mayor of Casterbridge, The Return of the Native I seriously recommend all of them. I've added "Black Against Empire" to my virtual TBR (my physical TBR pile is currently, literally in the 100s)

Hi! Yeah, 2022 was not a great year for my reading, haha. Most books only got 2 or 3 stars from me. In fact, Doctor Zhivago ranks among my worst reads of 2022! I read it alongside 2 reading groups and I was one of the few who even finished it. Wish I'd liked it as much as you did! I'm having better luck this year but still nothing higher than 8/10. Some 10/10s for me would be Grapes of Wrath, The Bell Jar, Demon-Haunted World and A People's Tragedy. Glad I could give Black Against Empire a boost! Hope you enjoy it once you get around to it :)
