First of all, my favorite video of yours all time! Love how you incorporated player stats, card values and projected value increases/dips over time. Love how intelligent and passionate you are about it. Also, what a crazy and diverse wemby pc you have. My only constructive feedback is rather than highlight different numbers of cards for each player (aka your pc), how about highlighting the top 5 cards in your pc for each player. I prefer this because that way you might have more of a direct relationship between top rookies (plus their general card values) and the top cards in your pc.... And if you still had a situation where bufkin sneaks into the list or Ausar is ahead of Amen, then you highlight even more that your PC is much stronger for one player over another.... if that makes sense 😅. Either way, amazing video!!

Great vid! Nice insights and I can agree with almost all opinions too. Wemby market is just insanely saturated right now and I don't think his 2nd year cards will top the first. It's also insane to see how much Wemby eclipsed all other values of other good rookies because a Podziemski and Thompson twin performance for a rookie year is just solid! I think I have almost the same expectations value wise. Those 4 rookies will solidify themselves this coming season and Wemby.. well is Wemby but I don't think it'll increase to begin with too.

Wemby will get a quad double this season and win dpoy I think his value stays steady. Jazz are gonna hand the keys to Keyonte especially when they start tanking after the all star break. Ausar dealing with blood clots hope he’s able to play soon but might be a setback year for him. Pods should have a good year but Kerr notoriously doesn’t play guys big minutes. Amen is one Houston injury away from really breaking out

I started to collect almost 1 year ago, have a binder of rookies from 2019…do not have anything value as yours, as I boight megasand blasters for fun and to collect many rookies. Now will try to be more selective, buying less but more Hobby.

Looking at the prices of many cards you showed the only thing I can say is that Wembanyama destroyed (not for his fault) the market this year, hope things will change in the future and with Topps... Regarding my exspectation for second year players I'll keep an eye on Jaquez Jr, and Jackson Davies and I think also Scoot will have a nice boost in terms of performance this year, without major injuries! Go on ripping! 💪

I'm also collecting the Thompson twins, key. George, and holding a few low numbered Wembys. Sold anything non-numbered. I agree with most of what you said but I think Jackson-Davis will have more hype than Podz. Wemby will go down in value and go back up, George will become a star, and the twins will be highlight reel monsters this season.

Loaded up on Wemby during the off-season. Buying mostly raw lots or bulk (you get bulk discount and saves on shipping) nothing too expensive so I don’t get burned if things turn south. Would like to get an auto but too expensive for me. 2024-25 class does not look promising so I feel like Wemby rookies gonna carry the hobby until the Cooper Flag draft.

Great concept Bob. Ausar was well underperforming for what was expected. I think bilal coulibaly and trace Jackson Davis will be higher calibre players than both the Thompson twins. No disrespect to the twins but I think they haven’t performed as expected and will need to lift a fair bit to teach what has been expected of them.

My top 5 rookies recent year by value, in my collection: Nr5 Wembanyama, Nr4 Keyonte George, Nr3 Scoot Henderson, Nr2 Amen Thompson, Nr1 Brandon Miller. I thought and still think that wemby's prices might drop, so I didn't spend much on his cards. And I'm currently adding a bit of Julian Strawther.

@@BobTheCardCollector I Unfortunately haven't received anything special yet. The best card was perhaps the wemby revolution rookie revolution fractal parallel. At that moment it was a 100usd card.. but now maybe 20-30usd. I think the 2nd best card that I got from the pack was Donruss Net Marvels Steph Curry silver holo to /99. It's also about a 100usd card. I also got a bunch of smaller rookie cards that aren't worth mentioning and couple gold /10 vets. The Wemby tax is unfortunately big for everyone. Some people just have better luck opening packs. My luck just hasn't arrived yet 😂

Some very very very nice cards, love it :). Sadly Ausar was diagnosed with a blood clot last season which is never a good thing. Maybe thats one reason for the low pricing on him. A blood clot essentially ended Chris Boshs career some years ago.

In response to your question about the Bufkin jersey auto, it's actually an RJA (Rookie Jersey Auto), not an RPA (Rookie Patch Auto). Many people in the hobby mix these up, but if you look at the cards, they're never labeled as patches or RPAs because they aren't. The confusion comes from the term "patch." A plain white jersey, or one in a solid team color, isn't considered a patch-patches are multi-colored or layered (like that nice 3 colour Bufkin you have).
