This is excellent my dog does exactly what your dog supposedly did in the beginning. You would give him a treat and then he run right out in front of me to the end of the leash and then come back for a treat with no problem, but then he would do the exact same thing run out to the tight, so I’m gonna try doing by tossing the treat in back of me and then when he comes back, give him another treat but what is the purpose of tossing the food in the back thank you

@@watchmoivies123 I find when I drop the food on the floor rather than always feed from my hands it increases his engagement as if he doesn’t pay attention to me he will miss the treats being dropped! Also by throwing it behind Chase naturally comes into the heal position on his own at my side waiting for the next piece of food to be dropped which keeps the game exciting and builds value for walking by my side. Hope this helps! 😊

Also, do you have beginner videos of Chase so I can see if that’s something that my dog is doing also and that you fixed it not to be mean or anything but I like to see before and after videos

@@watchmoivies123 thanks for watching I’m glad this was useful for you. I don’t have many clips of him pulling in the early days because I wasn’t making training videos back then plus it’s always challenging to hold the lead, treats and camera to record! But you can see from my previous loose lead walking video a clip of Chase in a distracting environment and how he pulls if left to his own devices without any engagement drills. We are still working on his training in highly distracting environments but these tips have helped me massively so far so I wanted to share! 😊
