For the magsafe connector, when I looked at the amazon description, it explicitly said "Note: NOT WORK WITH Motorola Devices and Oculus Go."

They put that up for safety reasons. While it WILL work with the Oculus Go, the magnetic end of the cord can run hot while in the fast-charge orientation (that doesn't always happen, I think it's a manufacturing defect). The reason that this is an issue is because the Go will also run hot on the front end (where the charge port happens to be) if you try to charge it while simultaneously running something processor-intensive, which is why Oculus tells you not to use it while charging. For obvious reasons, having heat from both the cable and the Go itself focused on the same area would be bad. There IS a heatsink built into the very front panel of the Go, and the battery's a bit farther back than the area that tends to get hot, but it's still potentially dangerous and you could damage the unit. All that said though, under normal circumstances you should be able to use the cable without issue.

Thank you so much for finding custom prescription lenses. I literally can't be happier. There are so many things I am unable to do because of my glasses. And I can't get contacts because they cost about $4,000 a year for one pair. When I was 7 I was first diagnosed with eye cancer. Eight years later and I am cancer free, but still have lots of issues. But thanks to your video, I won't have to take my Oculus off every five minutes to defog the lenses! I can't thank you enough for this.

Yes, the prescription lenses are a must, best accessory for me so far. I also have the VR Cover, thanks to you. The mag safe connector is a brilliant idea, I will get that next. I totally agree, the micro usb port is a single point of failure, they are fragile. Cheers!

I have 3 or 4 of the quick magnet charger cables. I ended up boxing them back up and not using them for even my phone. Magnetics and electronics do not get along. Have you done any research on these cables? I have no idea if they are safe for devices. I did do a magnetic test on the attachments and cord and both have a high magnetic value. Thought you may know something I don't. Love your videos btw. I'm just getting ready to do my initial turn on and set up on my Oculus go. Looks like I'll be having a blast.

I purchased the vr cover it made a world of diff against my face . so glad w the investment. I now used your link for the magnectic charger connector. I always seem to fuzz when plugging in the charger because I forget the correct position. I have messed several cel phone connectors by doing this. The charger is a blessing because once in I will no longer need to fuzz thank you for sharing. 1 question On the Veer App I see the Oculus Rift option but not Oculus Go. do I download The RIFT OPTION??? I own Oculus Go.

Great vid. Got the vr cover coming and will be here next week. Battery pack is a must have for us hard core users. I took a upgrade vive head strap and attached to the go. Very comfy and it comes with built in over ear head phones. Can hardly wait for the quest to come out.

When using the powerbank, does your oculus still drain in %. I was told it should not drain at all when your using a 2.4A.? I have a cheap powerbank with 2A output but while watching movie, it still drains the oculus.. Any thoughts? thanks

Call the last place where you had an eye exam even if your prescription has expired. You don't need a prescription for this sort of item and the last place should be able to give you the information. If they balk, let them know that it isn't for glasses but rather for a gaming headset. I've never had an issue getting the info when I need to have corrective lenses placed in my snorkeling masks.

It needs to work with the Oculus Touch Controllers. Also, the Quest does also. Oculus could have been the industry standard for VR controllers if they hadn't made it necessary to have an Oculus Rift headset with them.

Good advice , I don't need the controller yet but the cable connection and the cover i will be ordering today , after washing the original cover and the straps they don't look so new....... WOW dude.........,You got the same battery I've been using , yes it is very powerful , I had a major spine surgery 5 months ago and I was able to watch Netflix between my sleeping and what would be otherwise staring at the ceiling (could not move and change body position for a while) , anyway since then I only watch Netflix on my Go. Any advice on cleaning the lenses ? , I'm using some wipes from CVS but they give of this glare when it's bright scene. I got my case from Amazon , it's called "KOOTEK" , love that case , fits everything i got and it came with lenses separator so I'm not worried about scratches when traveling , also nothing is "flying" inside because everything has its own space. Personaly I would wait for the quest IF you dont mind paying the 400. If the 400 is to much then the go is a very good buy. I know i love my go and im on it all the time BUT the quest will replace it.

If you want to get in to VR for gaming, wait for the Quest. If you are more interested in media content and social interaction, get the Go.

I got the Charging Pack thing and the Mini-USB wire But the problem is that if I want to use the Charge pack I’ll have to unplug the little Mini-USB Which defeats the purpose of having it and keeping it from damaging the port if I have to continuously unplug it Is there a way around this???

Comfort is highly subjective. I find the ps4 dualshock 4 to be extremely comfortable compared to the xbone. I hate the xbone controller and I'm baffled as to how you'd suggest this over the xbone controller which is objectively less ergonomic and comfortable than the dualshock 4. The dualshock has a symmetrical design with flat buttons that are easier and less painful to press when playing most games. Especially rhythm. I strongly disagree that xbone would be the best controller for it when it's obviously not... Preformance wise the dualshock is definitely the best thanks to its rechargeable battery
