I love Blake Crouch but I haven't read Recursion yet. But I adored his book Abandon as well as Dark Matter.

I loved blacked crouch s wayward pines trilogy but I have only read 5 of his books.
@laura67105 жыл бұрын
Blake Crouch actually wrote an entire trilogy before Dark Matter was released. The first book is really good, and the others are just okay. It has the same kind of feel as his newer books but he maybe should have cut it off after the first. It even has a tv adaptation, Pines, but it wasn’t that great.

I was really confused when she said that and paused the video for a moment before I remembered that I actually read the Wayward Pines series by Blake Crouch 😂 but I really would like to see her opinion on those books, I agree with you

I love the collector series. I have read them multiple times and was so excited to read the last book this year. I got my mom hooked on them as well. Really tough stories but so so very well written.

Love your videos. I now have so many to add to my TBR. None of the books I read last year were released in 2019. My top books I read were Heartless, Five Feet Apart, The Nightingale, and The Great Alone. I also discovered Debbie Macomber and have loved her books.

Birthday is such an incredible book!! I loved it too, and like you wish more people would read it!! The Bone Houses has been on my wish list for a while now, I just added A Heart in a Body in the World to my list. I had The Butterfly Garden on there for a while then recently took it off because I got scared LOL but I just put it back on - so we'll see if I ever actually read it LOL. Thanks for another great video!

Birthday has a bucketload of trigger warnings which probably should be mentioned (body dysmorphia, suic*dal ideation, suic*de attempt, parental abuse - physical and mental, death of a parent, homophobia, transphobia). I personally found it to be triggering, but I managed to get through it in chunks and by spending a couple of days in bed. So brutal. But I’m ultimately so glad I read it. I loved (mixture of 2019 and backlist): Autoboyography by Christina Lauren, Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston, Tell Me How You Really Feel by Aminah Mae Safi, both Heartstoppers by Alice Oseman, The Captive Prince trilogy (TW: slavery, sexual violence in all forms), The City of Brass and The Kingdom of Copper by S. A. Chakraborty, Serpent and Dove by Shelby Mahurin (can anyone say BIG TIDDY LIDDY? 😂). That’s all I can think of currently. I really need to read Love from A to Z. Can’t help thinking that with having a partner with a degenerative disease and a Muslim best friend, that it will be very relevant.
