Good ones, have you been to BIFF? It is a top tier festival in Burbank for both short and feature films, industry judges and great year round social and networking events.

DragonCon festival was cancelled last year and their twitter hasn't been updated in over a year.. No mention of the film festival on the track listing, either. 😢 Watching and talking with the filmmakers was how I planned my DC weekend. Signed copies of DVDs bought directly from the crew/cast have grown my home collection since 2008.

Ah yeah… I don’t think they’ve done the festival since 2019 which is a bummer. Not sure why. Hope you still had or have a great DC!

A lesser known film festival that has a lot of networking capabilities is cucalorus film festival in Wilmington, NC. Check it out, a lot of indie filmmakers.

Absolutely! Several film festivals have student categories! I suggest she look for those and apply to those categories specifically. Best of luck to her!
