Can't wait to get my nose on Qahwa! Thanks to your last Middle Eastern fragrance video I bought Ishq Al Shuyukh Gold, and OMG, am totally blown away by what an exact dupe it is, and a beast, at that! You asked how the OG could cost over $200 and the dupe at $35, and I think I've stumbled upon the answer. I read an article about how gas chromatography can now analyze a perfume and give not only a complete list of ingredients but also in what quantities they're used! Then in a separate KZbin video where Jeremy Fragrance was talking about making his line of scents, he was talking about how the bottle cost him only 50 cents, the box 50 cents, and the juice not much more than that! So if the actual cost of a fragrance is around $1.50 at least, you can see how Lattafa can make an exact dupe of Rosendo No.5 and still make a profit! What boggles me now are the prices we pay for our niche perfumes! If I'm paying $225 for a $5 fragrance, I feel like a sucker! Probably the most significant cost for a niche company would be what they pay the perfumer to create the fragrance in the first place. But knowing what I know now, I have no qualms about buying Middle Eastern dupes of fragrances I'd never be able to afford otherwise. Junoon Oud, here I come! 😜💓

Great video! I love Middle Eastern fragrances, and I appreciate them now more than ever since niche and designer fragrance prices have gone through the roof! I own all of these that you featured. I think Khamrah Qahwa has floral in the background, a touch of coffee, and less of the date notes than Khamrah. I slightly prefer the OG, but this is lovely, too! Ansaam Gold is a masterpiece in my book, particularly when you consider the price! Affection is lovely and ON POINT! ! I own a 10 ml size from KayAli, too. No need to purchase a full bottle 😏 And Nebras... Yes! Better than the OG. People say I smell like a warm waffle cone when I wear this.

I bought Ishq Al Shuyukh Gold and let me tell yall: this perfume is a beast. It is like nothing I've smelled before. Sexy, grown, delish, lasts for hours. But please do note: it needs to sit for a few days (or weeks). Open it, spray it out (like 10-15 sprays outside), and let it sit. It will smell like straight kerosene oil and alcohol in the beginning. I almost gave it away to my brother, but it was so intriguing, even with that gas-eque smell. I wore it some more and my Gawd. Amazing. The scent transforms. This also layers so well with Eclaire. It is not for everyone but if you like unique smells, must try.

Fyi I have Khair Pistachio instead of Affection and I’m pretty sure both are nearly 100% dupes bc same notes and smell but longer lasting and MAYBE a bit sweeter. MAYBE. Something else to consider and maybe add to your Amazon/links 🫶🏾

Absolutely...Jeremy Fragrance made a video TELLING US how much it costs to create a fragrance and the markup is ASTRONOMICAL. As we can all plainly see with Middle Eastern fragrances. 🫤

Because they use real ingredients that don’t contain animal ingredients and are pure oils that’s why they last longer. Also you are buying a name and f they have to use an animal ingredient the cost might go up. Nemat has a lot of musk, vanilla amber sandalwoods. Oil. They’re cheaper bc they’re readily available and they are grown n that region of the world. Also, you’re cutting out the distributor which lowers the price. I hope that helps

I really respect Lattafa, and their sister company, Alhambra. They offer amazing quality to price ratio. And their dupes/clones are over 90% close to the original perfumes. What makes them not really 99% close is that Lattafa's perfumes are STRONG. Like greatly amped up versions of the originals, so the opening might feel "too much" but the dry down is definitely great! You got me interested in that Affection and Nebras. They might be my next purchase! :D

So true, the Rosendo #5 dupe is EXACT!!! Only a smidge stronger. Half a spray is enough. I really dislike the bottle though. That's my only gripe.

I have Khamrah (which was love at first sniff), and Nebras (Which took a couple months of sitting for me to really like it). Although I might be in the minority when it comes to preferring Eilish over Nebras. What can I say, I love the added spice note in Eilish. 🤷🏽‍♀️ However, I will always keep both in my collection. I also have Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud by Lattafa. It’s nice, but a bit much. I got it because it was supposed to be similar to by the fireplace, but it’s way too strong for me. I use it as air freshener. I’ve been wanting to try Ansaam Gold, but I’ve been on the fence because of the back & forth reviews. I’m also not a huge fan of Love don’t be shy, but when people say it’s closer to Oriana it makes me want to try it. Affection was on my list, but after reading reviews I think I’m going to go with Paris Corner - Khair. I heard it’s even sweeter & creamier than Pistachio Yum Gelato. I need to get my hands on the new Khamrah as well! 😊

@@magdalenasamandova from other reviews I’ve seen, they’ve said it’s a dupe of BDK’s Gris Charnel but I haven’t tried Gris Charnel yet. I do get the tea and the spice with some sweetness. To me it’s pretty unisex, maybe slightly feminine due to the sweetness.

I’ve tried Khalid and to me that is very smoky and masculine. Toledo leans slightly masculine to me but I have it and wear it as well.

Love your review on Lattafa Ansaam Gold❤ I’m wondering if they didn’t list marshmallow as a note bc it’s just not a note in the fragrance. I say that because I am Muslim and there is a such thing as “halal marshmallows”🥰 Definitely going to try the fragrance. Thanks for your review❤
