That entry on Undertale...... wow,,, I think we had extremely similar experiences with 2015 (something traumatic happening at the end of 2014, 2015 being spent scrambling to recover/run away from it.....), and Undertale was also one of the only bright spots I had that year. It gave me something to think about, something examine, that wasn't my own horrible situation, while also giving me something to Care about, too, with it's wonderful characters.

It so interesting to me that I for the life of me could not tell you how I started watching tama videos. I have no idea when it was or who/what led me to this channel. But over the decade there’s no doubt I have been watching and growing with you. Even though We don’t know each other in the slightest, have never and probably will never meet it still feels I shared this decade with someone. As I’ve watched tama grow and change and go through things I’ve also watched my self grow up through the same sorts of things. I guess this just goes to show the magic of the internet huh. Basically, whatever it was that brought me to this channel all those years ago, I’m sure glad i ended up here.

Not really gaming related, but the 2010s was a time of emotional ups and downs for me. I had my dark years (2010, 2014, 2018) my rebuild years (2011, 2015, 2019) my good years (2012, 2016), and my truly excellent years (2013, 2017), but it's all relative, I guess.

I was honestly surprised at how many of your favorite games coincided with my own, and I went through some serious stuff at similar times as well. I think that shows just how much a good game can help you deal with a situation and take you somewhere else for a while when you need it. I deviated from you in 2012, because I really really enjoyed Fire Emblem Awakening. But otherwise... same! I'm glad that you seem to be in a better place and have a workload that's healthy and manageable. Here's to 2020!

Without reservation, my favorite game of the 2010s was Hollow Knight. It has the kind of exploration, environmental storytelling, and progression that I crave. Godhome was probably too unforgiving and I don't blame people for getting turned off from it but I still love the game regardless.

Holy crap a new video? Well that's nice. Going off your commentary, I see that you ended up putting the KZbin thing behind you (at least not doing it full-time). I'm not active on Twitter and don't have Twitch so I wasn't really sure what was going on behind the scenes but the commentary said it all. Either way I am glad to hear that you are in a better place mentally not having to worry about battling KZbin's annoying algorithm and being under stress trying to get a video out even when you weren't in the best head space so just happy to hear you're doing okay. I wish I could relish in the game of the decade type of thing but honestly I haven't played all that many new games by the year they came out. I too have done considerably less gaming than I did a couple years back what with work and just not being in the right head space. I can't even say that I played Heart Gold / Soul Silver which upsets me so much because I'm a fellow Johto baby and I loved Gold / Silver / Crystal. Though seeing it here really does annoy me with how the later Pokemon games didn't bothering keeping the Pokemon following you feature. Eugh... Anyway nice video. :)

It's strange to think about this last decade for me, both in terms of games and the effect they've had on me. Tamashii, I kinda have to thank you for that. I'm not super active, but I'm a long time fan (we followed each other on LiveJournal back in the day, Pokeeeveegirl? I think I may have brought that up one other time and I still cringe at the username drudged up from the depths of what my 10-11 year old mind considered a good name.) and it's funny to think that you've passively had an effect on a lot of the games I enjoy playing. It was actually because of a stupidly old video you uploaded years ago about Rune Factory 2 that when someone in a Discord channel brought up how much they liked playing Rune Factory 4, I thought to check it out. It ended up being one of my favorite games, if not my absolute favorite! (It's remaster on Switch comes out the end of this month, I'm stupid excited!) That seems like such a small thing, and it is, but the effect is there. I don't know if I would have been as quick to look it up if it I didn't hear about it from you first. It's also strange to think I was only in middle school at the time when I first started watching your videos. It's been over a decade, I've graduated high school, I'm in my mid 20s, I just started my first full time job, that's insane! Also I feel you on the no time for games thing. Dayum, adulting sucks. I don't know what this next decade will bring, honestly, I can't say I have much in the way of long term plans besides owning a little cottage (with wi-fi connection) and becoming a kitchen witch who makes jam all day but hey, that's the fun of it. Going forward, I wish you all the best and while I might lurk, you still have my support from now, and as long as you're still uploading, well into the future as well. :)

@@Tama-Hero It sounds like you're doing pretty well for yourself as well, I'm really happy to hear that! I wonder about our little LJ group sometimes and how they're doing now. It's funny to think back on some of the things I've written and how things stand now. I wrote about my cat Ellie getting out and coming back, she's actually still around, sitting next to me as I type this, just a cranky old lady. Or my neighbor's daughter who acted like a little brat enough that my mom then stepped in and scared her enough (read; gave her some form of discipline for the first time in her life) for the girl's mom to decide the cops needed to be called. Also fun. (Ten years later and that little girl became a teen mom. Make of that what you will.) I've played each of the games since, while I say I'm so glad to play through RF4 as that one is a masterpiece, oof, some the others were hard to get through by today's standards when it comes to games. I'm really glad I was able to get into the series though. As a JRPG fan who likes town simulator games, it really is the perfect blend of my favorite genres.

Tamashii, out of curiosity, what was your build(s) in Fallout and Skyrim? In Skyrim, I doing a warrior with a Nord, a thief/assassin with a wood elf, and a pure mage with an Imperial. I want to get Fallout 4 for my PC and do a sniper build. Kind of wish that Bethesda would port Fallout 4 to the Switch physically.

When I played New Vegas I went for an extremely squishy, low int high charisma character. A dumb happy go lucky charming girl. She avoided fights at all costs. In Skyrim and Fallout 4 build doesn't matter because all characters can do everything and it's impossible to roleplay in 4.

I started the decade in my last year of primary school and through the decade I have gone through Secondary School and College and am now in University so I have changed a lot. 2010 - Pokemon Heartgold (I just have such a fond memory of it and it is still perfect to this day. I have only played it through twice , both times in the summer and now I can only replay it when it is summer. 2011 - The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. (It reignited my love of Zelda after I fell away from the series in 2007 from Phantom hourglass) 2012 - Pokemon Black and White 2 (This game was a comfort for hard stuff I was going through at the time and I love every second of it ) 2013 - Ni No Kuni (The love of a Studio Ghibli film in video game form. Pure joy.) 2014 - Shovel Knight. 2015 - Bloodborne (I never thought I would like this but the intensity and the secrets and the world was so so fun) 2016 - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Just reminded me of how much I loved this childhood game) 2017 - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Best game of the decade for me) 2018 - God of War (Played this with my Dad and it was just a fun time) 2019 - Smash Bros Ultimate (didn't come out in 2019 but thats when I played it the most) I am 21 so it is the second decade I have live through and over all, it was a great one. Hope the 2020's can be just as great.
