Thank you for pointing out that Devotion and Lira do not smell the same! The Fragrantica comparison really irks me lol. They do have the citrus note in common but Devotion is orange candy that morphs into LDBS dna and Lira is vanilla lemon cake. Lira is special and very unique. I love Devotion too and the bottle is fire 🔥

Thank god it was Lira, its my absolute go to day to day so much so I have a 100ml and a 30ml back up. It's unique and the dry down is totally delicious. It will be a lifer for me too. Thanks so much ❤

Your explanation of Devotion is PERFECT. Some gourmands/florals still smell like perfume (2010s Black Opium, Poison Girl, etc.) but the newer frags can be too realistic to be sexy IMO. Not as versatile either. I can wear Kayali Vanilla 28 anytime bc it's very perfume-y vanilla, but I can only wear Bianco Latte in certain situations/outfits/moods, etc. I love them both but you put it into words very well.

Thank you! Love lemon Gourmands! Devotion differs from Bake to me because Devotion still has a perfume smell to it and Bake is straight Gourmand. Also, I get candied citrus leaning more the orange Creamsicle route in Devotion than the lemony scent of Bake.

Yay! 🤔 I don’t see Unknown Pleasures up there…That’s my favorite that lasts although I do put a dash of Bake on top sometimes. Then it’s Lira which I wish was same scent but beast mode 😂😂😂 not gonna happen though

I am also a big fan of lemon gourmand which is why I love lemon tart by theodoros kalotinis and boo boo lemon Noel from coco pink and i do not remember who makes it but lemon eclair intense is another good one.

I prefer my Inspired by Lira from Andromeda's Moon, but I also have the Oackcha Italian Lemoncello. The Oackcha feels a bit different and heavier to me, but it's a good option too.

Very nice! I will admit. I don't care for the underlying scent in DUA's interpretations. I feel like it doesn't allow me to enjoy the scent it's inspired by. They also give me a major migraine. I'm assuming the carrier oils they use are a bit heavy.😬

@janelle-scenttalkfrommycloset No, Janelle, I do not. I would need your nose to guide me to find that underlying agent. I can however distinguish quality, i.e. L DAY Three or Louisianaroma. It was immediate to my nose. How would I be able to find the underlying note of the chemical agent? 🤔

Oh no! 💔 Sorry Unknown Pleasures didn’t work out for you. I don’t think it smells at all like Lira. Very different. UP is very gourmand. Dries down to caramel yum on me 🤷🏻‍♀️ I get overwhelmed with peach from HufflePuff. I know everyone loves it but I’m picky about fruits. I like lemon, raspberry, citrus tart fruits not the sweet ones like cherry, peach, dried fruits etc. Devotion dry down takes a horrible turn on my skin. Skin chemistry definitely can make or break a fragrance.

Isn't it crazy what works and doesn't work out in the end for all of us?! Sometimes I judge a fragrance by it's notes, then get absolutely blindsided by what it ends up smelling like! Sometimes for the better, but there's always those times.🙃

Then once I’ve put the fragrance and the expectation aside, I’ve had several turn into absolute loves like Symphonium, Dark is Night, and Profumum roma Vanitas!
