Don't stop your painting! Just adjust your style to some to something more abstract that works with your tics and tremors. Just let whatever is going on in your head and body just come out on the canvas or paper. Thanks for sharing your journey, I find Tourettes people to be quite pleasant - very intelligent and genuine and authentic, tics and all. Keep educating the world, the more we know the less our differences are seen negatively.

Huge respect to you, Paul. You're doing an amazing thing here with your videos: you're bringing awareness to the masses. Large audiences are becoming enlightened because of your initiative, audiences that would otherwise remain ignorant. We all need more Paul Stevensons in the world.

Hey Paul, been watching your videos this morning and just wanted to say I have huge respect for you and your family and the highlighting of your condition. I’m so glad you have found a creative avenue in photography to help get some relief and as a fellow creative (but not in photography) I do see you are extremely talented and hope your work gives you the income you rightfully want and deserve. I have family that suffer with anxiety and although it’s not at the real extreme level as your condition, I can fully understand because of the last 18 months and COVID in my own situation how it impacts on you and your family every day and wanted to reach out and say I appreciate what you are highlighting here and on TV documentaries. All the best to you from Sunny Sussex on the south coast. Keep taking those pictures and let the world see your talent. 👍👏🏻

Hi Paul, as a fellow Tourettes Syndrome sufferer, I completely understand what you're saying. It's not fun having our Syndrome, but we all just get by! Those that matter to us don't care about the various tics, noises and other random things we do. Just have to embrace the fact we are different and can't help the way we are.

hey mate, as a guy with mild Tourette I found the 3 guys on holiday video to be great to watch and to relate a bit whilst having a bit of a laugh but in a good way, also laughing at myself, always good to be able to laugh at ourselves instead, i know its very hard living with it and i wish you and anyone else with this good luck, hope you and your mates are doing well!

Hello from the boring midwest, Paul! Much respect to you for having the bravery to try to make something of your life with a neurological disorder that you refuse to let take total control over you. Some would give in. But I imagine most would fight. I have a feeling your photography can take you places, and help you take more possession of your own life. Best wishes, and keep on truckin'! :)

Paul you should try oral CBD oil. It really calms your nerves and it seems that you get a bad tick when you become anxious. Maybe it will help

How are you doing Mr Stevenson? I don’t have the vocal tics but I do have motor tics which get worse whenever I am stressed. Just a simple thing such as going into a shop is now a nightmare, as I can’t wear a face mask due to my additional anxiety issues. I have to now wear a sunflower lanyard but I feel like a freak sometimes 😔

I hope wearing the lanyard helps to ease your stress of being in shops

Good to see you Paul. Hope your doing well. Really enjoying seeing the odd photo posted on Facebook. Wondering if there have been any advancements in camera stabilization devices. Which moves faster, your shaky hands or the motors and sensors in the camera gear? I probably asked you this before... Can't remember. ;)

Hey Paul. I don't like having conversations over text but I have a friend that has issues with stuttering and I have found that this person as well as people with your syndrome seem to not experience any kind of ticks or symptoms when they are relaxed. However when under stress it seems to be more presented. By any chance have you noticed that you don't have as many ticks when you are relaxed?
@fleece963 жыл бұрын
My tics ease when I am being creative, also when I am unwell they ease

You should try letting go and reestablishing your connection with God. Check out Jesse Lee Peterson's tutorial on how to pray silently (which is the only way to pray). You have to let the emotion go, because you are not your emotions or your body, but a spirit. The "you" that you believe is you is actually your ego, and has nothing to do with you at all. You must dissociate with your ego, starve it of will, and your "problems" will fade.
