This one was very nostalgic for me, I think. It really has that vibe of horror written specifically for tweens & young teens, and I think that’s wonderful. I feel like in recent years there’s been more of a ‘gap’ in the genre; people just don’t seem to write horror specifically for kids anymore. It sucks because kids should be able to have something fun and scary to introduce them to the genre, without it being too overwhelming or age inappropriate. Growing up, things like Goosebumps, Monster House, Tales From the Crypt, and Paranorman are what got me invested in horror. Even now that I’m in my late teens/going to be early 20s soon, it’s really great to see a story with this vibe. Thank you.
