I may be mistaken, but I thought I read somewhere that Finland unfortunately has one of the highest suicide rates in the world. Perhaps those are the people who feel stress as this young woman did, but do not move to the northern wilderness to live the simple life. I think she has a very beautiful home but apparently she and her husband have clung to the modern, urban custom of not reproducing. (Yes, of course it is possible they cannot have a child.)

@@martaacosta4415 I heard the same. In Finland much alcohol and much depression in those areas where the sun never rises for weeks. - The most happy country in Europe with the highest self-contented level is Denmark, so they say.

You speak English beautifully... Thank you so much for that! You knitted those socks? OMG! The designs and details...You are very talented. Your house is "STURDY BUILT" IT will last a very, very long time...Homes are not built in this way anymore. Your home is made out of real strong materials. It is Christmas Season now, and I am hoping that if you celebrate it, you will post us a video of your traditional decorations...It has been a pleasure to see how others live in foreign lands... Thank you for your hard work, effort, and your time! Greetings from middle Georgia, USA!!!

My husband and I live in a farmhouse which is 135 years old and you are correct that old houses have a special atmosphere. I feel that they have a heart and soul which newer homes don't have. We've also found interesting old tools and objects around our farm which had been abandoned and forgotten. I like to think about how they were used in the past and the stories behind them. Thank you for sharing your home with me. It is lovely and warm and welcoming, as are you.

Dear Sanna, met you in your blog about washing sweaters in the snow, then went with you on a ski into the quiet forest, and then the arrival of the seeds. Now my third visit with you the tour of your new - 4 mo in the home. Love your home, as an old soul you are connected with all the life lived in your home Beginning in the 1800’s . Many floor plans in our country combine an open kitchen / family room concept with a fire place. Something’s never change. Also antiques are used for decorations. 👀 looking forward to your updated pictures that you will hang on the wall. ❤

I had not realized that you DID find your dream house. It is very very special and I love it! The house has its own personality. It is both humble yet majestic in its own way. The stone fireplaces add such a unique aspect to the home. They seem to be coaxing a person to just revel in the moment, accept their simplicity and functionality. They were built for a purpose which they are fulfilling even up until this day. My country worships youth, but there is a great depth of wisdom in the elderly and deep meaning to be absorbed

Hello Sanna, I love your house, so much history, traditions, it seem to be so calm and cosy! I'm living in France, but I'm originary from Romania. Your house was remembering me that in our traditional old houses, we have also the small room ( camera mica) and the big room (camera mare) for guests, my grand-parents had an old house and we were not aloud to go in the guests room. And we have the same carpets handmade, that womens made them on the weaving old machine. it's also something from our tradition, similar as yours. I'm happy to see that in the european north and eastern countries we have similar traditions. I love Finland, I love your videos! Best regards, Mihaela❤

I enjoyed the tour of your home, Sanna. My husband and I live in a newly built home (by necessity), but my soul resonates with the old. We live in the beautiful mountains located in the eastern part of America. We also have a wood stove to keep us warm and toasty in the winter. I love that nod to the past. I would call your big room which you had no English word for the “great room.” It’s a newer term in America for a multi-functional, usually larger room often toward the middle of the home where family and friends gather to eat and spend time together. Again, thanks for the tour. 😊
