I can't even tell you how much this helped me. Just before watching this I'd written out a fuckin dissertation to send to my guy, who is the exact same as the guy you talked about in the last story, and I just realised.. he isn't even going to read this. My ex decided to draggg me along and use me for sex but being young like 16-18 and gullible I thought wow he loves me and wants to be with me even though all the baggage I bring. I was having a shitty home life and thought he cared about me, as he brutally informed me after 3 years of dragging me around, sleeping with another girl and having phone sex with other people, that he had pity on me and didn’t want me to do something stupid.. some men just think far too highly of themselves. Omg I can absolutely relate to your final story!!! 😭 I met a guy and no joke, the very second we met I knew 100% that he was (and is) my soulmate. Every word he said made me melt. I knew he felt the same way. It was the most powerful experience of my life! Things were getting serious very quick, we lasted only a couple of months of getting to know each other and then one day he went completely MIA. Never heard from him again. He suffered really intense trauma throughout his life & was going though a particularly difficult time again and I think finding love like ours was just too much for him to handle. He’d never received love in his life and I loved him like my baby. I’ll never get over it. I’ll always love him and I’ve never been angry, it’s just unfortunate but I don’t regret the experience.

I don’t blame him because I can very much understand that extreme trauma from a young age fucks you up and he never was nasty to me, he just couldn’t handle it. It’s so difficult to let something go when you know how much potential there is!! I’ve actually heard from him again since writing my comment... he sent me a msg and went MIA again! I miss him so much... I still feel such an unbelievably strong connection to him (it’s like he’s family) but I’m definitely much more in a place of acceptance. It does kind of help to know that others go through this (and get over it!)
