My tricks for circlip installation on both ends of the piston. The easiest way I've ever seen.

I am friends with many engine builders but I've never seen anyone install circlips into pistons the way that I've come up with. I believe that it's by far the easiest way to install them without worrying about them going flying across the shop and without cussing your way through it.
I also share my process of assembling the piston and rod assemblies.
I have different ways of installing the circlips, depending on which end I'm installing it so be sure and watch both.

I'm sorry. I had the camera zoomed in too much so I'll make another the next time I build an engine with pistons that use circlips or I'll break down a stock piston/rod assembly.

The method with the pliers saved me today, so thanks a lot! The camera angle really isnt optimal, but the procedure is understandable, and after two tries I got the clip seated with minimal wear on the components.
