MY TRIP TO LAMU ENDS IN DISMAY

In this video i took a trip from Nairobi to Lamu onboard Emperor Express. We traversed through The A109 road and branched at Mariakani into Mavueni.We joined B8 road that connects from Mombasa to Minjila .From there we proceed to lamu on C112 Road. On this this trip we met one hurdle when we reached Sabaki bridge where we met GSU officers on a checkpoint who upon seeing our IDS put aside.

How was the police officer going to ensure that you went back on the same day? Did he take your ID card or something? I don't know if it would be helpful, but I would suggest that you take this matter up with whoever is in charge of tourism, maybe the Lamu County government, something.

if it weren't for the order to return with you, you could've stayed behind and return through the Garissa-Garsen Route. Don't they use that route? Reminds me of my first trip to Moyale,was also on Seat One, on reaching that check point at Merti near Archer's Post, I was the first to Alight, The officer asked me the same question because of my ID, He kept me aside,checked everybody else then said am remaining behind. The driver i was with came to my aide and that's how i proceeded.😅

The officer demanded that you go back with the driver of the bus out of Lamu in the evening?! What about the other bus passengers who were on board?! Were you the only one with your partner who were discriminated against out of all the passengers?! That was very wrong of the Police Officer indeed and this case should be brought to the attention of the interior minister!
