MY TRIP TO SOUTH OF FRANCE AFTER QUARANTINE | ALI ANDREEA

Hi everyone,
Few weeks ago me and my husband decided to take a weekend off and get to the south of France.
I really suck at vloging, I guess it’s not yet a habit for me to film everything, but I definitely shared with you things I thought they’re worth sharing. Like… a lot of food. If you’re pregnant, or you are on a diet I seriously recommend you to not look at this video because food is huge part of my travel. I basically map out my trips around the restaurants I wanna try.
I’ll answer 2 of the most asked questions I got on my IG while I was on vacation:
1. Is it long to get from Paris to south?
The truth is it really depends where in the south you’re going. We took the train from Paris to Marseille, it was 3h long then rented a car and drove around Marseille. It is a 1,5h drive from Marseille to Saint-Tropez. So it’s really not that bad.
2. Is south of France crazy expensive?
There are prices for every budget, really. During the day you don’t have to stay in a club and pay for a chair, you have beautiful large beaches where you can put your towel on the sand and enjoy the sea for free.
Places we’re been:
Hotel Les Bords de Mer - Marseille
Les Calanques de Sugiton - Marseille
Cassis
Le Club 55 for beach and lunch ( Saint-Tropez )
La Reserve Restaurant for dinner ( Saint-Tropez)
LouLou Restaurant for beach and lunch ( Saint-Tropez )
I strongly recommend you to rent a boat for the whole day in Cassis and discover all the beautiful small beaches between the rocks. But make sure you rent it in advance. We thought about it the same day we got there and there were no boats available to take use to the calanques.
If we’ll get there again I wouldn’t do that 2h walk to get to the beach because it’s quite dangerous. You need to come with your own food and drinks because there is no place you could buy that and to walk in that heat carrying everything it’s not a joy. If you really love walking and hiking than I suggest you to get to Luminy by car, there is a huge parking place in there. Then discover the calanques by foot, but make sure you have water, snacks, towel, water shoes and a backpack to carry everything. Once you get there it’s a dream! The water is very cold though!
If you want, you can also go by car to Nice, Antibes, Cannes, they’re also very beautiful and worth visiting.

Wow! Thanks for taking us along on your beautiful getaway! We have beautiful beautiful beaches in Oregon, but it’s the moody grey rainy forested type of beach. That’s why we typically spend a week or two in Maui every summer. I know we will go be allowed to go back to Hawaii some day in the future but for now I’ll just have to live vicariously through you and pretend that I’m in the South of France. A personal note for Andreea. Your make up videos are great and we all enjoy them, but I especially LOVE YOUR STYLE as a whole! European, linear, pretty and very classy. I also like your feminine and funny personality (and sometines edgy, one can perceive that as well, which is OK: you let your true self show quite a bit through the camera and that is so human!). I am 56, I am European like you - even though from a different area: Northern Italy very near... France -, I go to Paris and Southern France quite often and since ever, I lived there at times and it is a country I absolutely adore. But - most of all - watching you in your vlogs and non-beauty related videos I see so much of myself twenty-or-so years ago in you! To me it feels like a journey in the past fast-forwarded to the present. HOW BEAUTIMOUS! TY for sharing this!! I have family who own vineyards in S. France! I'm American and have only visited Paris areas as a child. I've not been to S France...and your video makes me hunger & thirst to add this to my travel list. Although, I'm older 55+ and have Lyme disease.
