The museum is crazy. There is also a Ferrari store. I hope you were able to have lunch or dinner at the Cavalino restaurant located by the main street and the entrance. Plant doesn't work 365 days, it would be 52 x 5 = 260 less the many holidays in Italy. Test track is used for production car development. Wind tunnel not illegal but use is restricted. You are talking about the FXX program where Ferrari keeps your car and transports it to the various tracks when they have an event. These are top tier sports cars designed for track use only.

I would love to see the factory. Been to Italy once - really loving the videos from there that trigger some memories. I was a huge Schumi and Vettel fan but I didn’t like how they moved Vettel out. But it worked out as I became a Max fan in time for the four titles. Here’s to five this year! Go Max!

Love what you do Kenny. Been a Ferrari fan for over 40 years. Can't say that I'm happy about them dumping Carlos Sainz for a media creation who's hugely overrated, but it's not Enzo's team anymore, and hasn't been for nearly 40 years.

@@PaperBanjo64Agreed. As a Vettel fan back in the day, I thought Ferrari was really stepping down for Sainz. But he did a great job there. Like him better than Charles. Hated get a better seat than Williams but I do think that team is improving. Ferrari left a sour taste in my mouth with how they handled Vettel moving on (though it was time for him to go). That caused me to move on from Ferrari after being a fan for 15+ years. Now A Red Bull and Max fan but I would love to visit Maranello.

technically the wind tunnel is not as you say illegal, its time use is split up based on your teams position at the end of the year. testing is also not illegal just limited . you should already know this , what do you think LH is going to be doing there tomorrow or the next day

First, you have to get on the list to buy a "starter" Ferrari. Then, if Ferrari considers you worthy, you'll get a chance to buy the top dog cars. I was at the Ferrari museum in the summer of 07. My wife is from Denmark, and we lived there from 05-07. I bought a new Saab on European Delivery and I drove it from Denmark to Italy and back before we moved back to the US. In 08 I did the Saab Aero Academy at Road Atlanta, it was part of the European Delivery purchase. While I was there some Ford NASCAR teams were there testing. On the 2nd day, someone from Roush stopped by the class and asked us to stop taking pictures.

The reason why those cars are kept at the test track is because they aren't street legal anywhere. Cars like the FXX (track version of the Enzo), 599XX (track version of the 599), FXX-K and LaFerrari Evo (track only versions of the La Ferrari), are just that, track only versions, and are kept there. However you are talking very expensive, and very limited edition. Something like the FXX, there were only 31 of them made.
