Today I want to leave yet another comment once again as I think that the gratitude for your videos is often now shown enough. I dont know if you will ever read this comment or if it will get lost in the vast amount of comments under this video but I just wanted to let you know that we dont take these videos for granted and that they are very interesting and it is so nice to be apart of this very fascinating journey that you experienced in the Wadi Rum Desert. Brings me so many mermoies. I’ve been there last winter, amazing place. It isn’t as touristy in winter. And the temperature is great: hot in the middle of the day and kinda cold in the evening. The dune was one of my favourite places. I ran down at full speed in a steep slope and it was amazing. Unimaginable feeling. Felt like flying. Ypu feel that you are going to fall down, but you just get faster. Tried doing it for a secount time while filming with my phone, but I fell down and it was kinda painful. I also climbed a big rock next to the dune. Wasn’t easy even if i’m a good climber. When you do it you feel like on of the special people who did it. Wadi run and petra are amazing place for not professional climbing. Also because we were the few people of the dune it was much much better than it your video with tens of cars. Nobody bpmay read but i just love writing this because it brings me many memories

There's something about your perspective that I just love. You're always so introspective on things, willing to think about the real world and ask questions that might be difficult to answer. Ah yes. Wadi Rum. I was there as well. A great experience, although our sleepibg arrangements were a bit more basic, or, more authentic, to be precise. I've been two times in the desert. Not this one, it was in the Sinai desert. We didn't have cars, instead, we walked between sites and camped outside. Falling asleep while seeing the stars is amazing and the gigantism of the place really feels magical. No lights, no noise or cars... Just the beautiful landscape, amazing people and the stars. It really was an amazing experience and I do recommend it to everyone. It's really a shame that Egypt has this reputation in western countries, it's not this hostile country most people picture in their minds. Same thing for bedouins, they're seen as cultureless homeless people by the rest of egypt because of their simpler lives. I found them very touching, being so happy with what they have, not endlessly seeking for more. They were also very welcoming, really wished I know arab.

Extremely beautiful, I adore the geography of the region. Just a stunning place. Battlefield 1's Egyptian maps (aside from the Suez) are highly inspired by the region and it shows, if only more games would be willing to take a chance and go somewhere very exotic like this! Then again, not many gameplay opportunities apart from cars. Mad Max's dried up sea is one of my favourite game worlds of all time and was highly inspired by this too

Btw, actually, drinking warm liquids in desert is better for your body and hydration than drinking cold ones. I don't remember why exactly it is anymore, but it's got something to do with how it makes your metabolism react, something maybe along the lines that the cold liquid, your body will use primarily as heat dump, so it'll dump its excess heat into it and then it'll want to expel that liquid out very fast, while the warm one will be retained since it can't be used like this, and it'll go through the proper full metabolism route instead.

More than "can I see from here to there and walk from here to there" and then saying "I can do this as well because it's in the same screen", might be more useful to consider the time spent walking that bit and then scaling it to the desired trip and add 30% for possibly more difficult terrain. I feel like that gives a great idea of what kind of a walk it would really be. Like "ha that's only 30 minutes of walking... oh, in that case this is 8 hours".
