hi i'm completely new to credit card. was wondering which is more suitable for me. i hardly travel (once per yr, excluding msia). no car, rarely use grab. i mainly shop online, dine out at times n buy groceries.

very interesting, I was about to cancel my evol card in favour of uob one card because i had a headache trying to figure out/ calculate which transaction is considered online, contactless or others. love (and own) the uob lady and citi-rewards

my credit card strategy is to flip and cancel all bank cards to farm sign up bonuses, and perhaps use a bank card with terrible or no sign up bonus like ICBC/bank of china/UOB for actual spend. That will net at least $1000 cashback a year

@killnoobsat1200 yes for most banks. Once in a while, you just need to wait 6 months to qualify. Read the tncs whenever theres an acquisition campaign

Pardon, for UOB Lady's Card you mentioned the specialized category spend, for example : if my selected category for the quarter is Family (MC5411) and i spent $450 on FairPrice and sometimes i use the uob lady card for random other transactions like dining, etc lets say $600 , total amount spend is $1050 on that card but i would not fulfill the $500/month spent for UOB One account criteria because i did not hit the $500 on my category (family) spend?

That's fine for $500 criteria, only thing is you won't earn 6mpd on the non selected $600 spend
