Yo Hussle & Motivate these videos are on point, I'm 59 and I start at Roadmasters on Febr 19 2024 I'm going to sign on the Werner DG account. Your right brother take your time you'll get done in decent time with no mistakes. I think the same way move fast or step it up if your behind and that's it, because the amount/ pieces you have to unload at a stop is not going to change whether you unload fast or slow.

I'm thinking about going with Werner, on the Family Dollar account. Originally, I would have said you'd be crazy to take a job unloading your own 53' trailer, but your videos changed my mind. I appreciate your positive attitude toward your job, and your work ethic. I'm in Blakely, Southwest Georgia, I hope one day our paths cross.

Hey buddy, it's been a minute since we last chatted. I'm at the Ardmore, OK DC. 52 yo and rocking along about 17 to 20 rolltainers an hour. That includes the obligatory 6 to 7 uboats with toppers and totes. The pickup takes a while because I fill all the way to the doors. So I unload to unload alot. It's just got to be done, help the stores out. No help when you say something but my unloads are solid. Been doing this account 6 months. It has its moments but mostly solid work. I'm a regional so out all week around 2 grand on mileage take home about a grand or little more. That's how we roll out here. Love your channel and your commitment bro. You are directly responsible for me doing this. I watched your channel during school. Be safe.

@@zacheusinalien8467 It is for others and especially the new guys because they have bigger bonuses and such. I only do 2 to 3 loads per week. I am comfortable and don't get in a hurry. My fleet manager and I have it all laid out what I do and when. I own everything and have no debt. My retirement is stocked so my work being fast, complimentary, and courteous wins the day. You can make much more I just choose not to and I get a shorter week with great home time and at 60 Grand per year in Oklahoma not bad with minimal bills.

I work for Kroger and almost every night I usually unload a grocery trailer full of at least 4-20 pallets. And it takes me about 20-65 minutes if nothing falls. I say for you depending how many rolltainers for your stops, I’d say about 1.5-2 hours

Why do DG warehouse load trucks like that. Just throwing boxing up top. Why can’t they palletize everything and just have you use pallet jack to wheel stuff off into stores???
@jonelliott49933 жыл бұрын
Because you’re thinking DG cares about which store the freight goes to, as long as it makes it to a store it can be sold even if it the wrong store

Well the newer DCs use RT carriers for everything. It's a type of stow that you can drive around and load 4 RTs up at once fairly easily. So if you had a stow with a skid or 2 skids on it--it's less product loaded up per trip around the normal pathways of picking. So it's probably for more packages per trip around mainly. As for our DC it's a bit older and we still use belts to deliver product to shipping lanes and there's no room to put skids in there unless they revamp the building and remove a lot of expensive belt equipment... it won't happen.

I'll say you're fast because you're doing something I would never want to do. However, it does seem like you're at your stops a long time. I only say that though because you're walking around the store (inside & out) filming. But really, the fact that those trucks look a straight mess I would think makes it hard to unload quickly.

You got a good pace, key is try to touch it once and get it off the truck. You touching boxes more than twice, you’re playing with it lol 😂 I used to do between 7-9 trailers a week (working 6 days-only take the 34, not 2 days off) with DG and was banking 3k-3500k/week. I was away from home for about 6-8 weeks at a time, so I had to make the most of my time while away from the family. I didn’t fuck around lol It was a good account, and your trailer looks decently loaded. The shit I dealt with was horribly loaded everyday 🤣 made me wonder how the fuck the warehouse workers still have jobs after so many photos sent in on how fucked up they were loaded with tons of damages
