Did you tap the alpharex lights to something outside the directions? My start up sequence only works when it is dark or if I cover the light sensor on the dash.

Paint to match. The alpharex width looks lacking. But looks decent overall. The light bar looks underwhelming. A DD or Baja would be much better.

For sure it would. Ya on camera it doesn’t do the best. But also compared to oem the Alpharex aren’t as wide

Fyi for the wiring for that light bar. I have the same one for my truck and I contacted Rave Offroad they recommend wiring through a relay even though it is not included in their wiring diagram. Big fan of the light bar and grill though. I put the same ones on my truck but went with the Toyota marker lights. Much better look than stock.

Great video! I just installed the same grillecand rave light bar. I'm trying to follow the step you took for wiring the light bar and the oem switch. I saw the wiring diagram you have, however I feel like this a puzzle lol. Did you use the wires and connections that came with the rave light bar kit? Can't seem to figure out how to connect the light bar to the battery, ground, and wire up the switch without adding or spicing extra wires not included. Any advice is great. As always, love your vidoes!

You can get that as an option on Limited. But Plat and up it comes standard.

Sounds good, I’m having a hard time understanding the packages. Just wanna make sure when I get the one I want I get the big screen and sun roof, especially the black interior. I wonder if APR’s are gonna drop anytime soon for the financing. When I got my wife her 4Runner I got them down to 3% would be nice to get that now.

Curious if anyone did this install with the hybrid Tundra. How did you wire your light bar? Was there anything under the hood that you could use? A fuse relay? Or did you have to run extra wire and travel back to the cabin and attach to the battery?

The only way I would spend $1700 to replace the headlights is I had an SR5 or a limited that had incandescent lights! Not a chance I would replace the auto leveling LED stock Tundra lights!

Hi Jon, Did your Tundra came with the bigger tow mirror or you installed it after? Toyota told me that they are not selling Tow Mirror for Tundra it has to come from the factory and I want to replace my standard mirror with tow mirror , what is my best option? Mine is 2024 Tundra Hybrid Limited with 360 camera and standard folding mirror

Was it difficult to get the wire through the firewall? Did you go directly in the middle with the other wires or a little off to the side when sending through the firewall?

It was tough but got it. There is a little dead grommet there that you can take out and put the wire through. I thought I showed that in this video but I do have a wiring video on Tundra on my channel.

Have a limited with standard leds, would you say alpha is definitely worth it? I personally love the alpha because they look like they could be stock. They’re not cheap looking but I imagine visibility is slightly better than the oem projectors

Im looking at upgrading from a 2nd gen MGM tacoma to a platinum '24 tundra but I hate chain link fence grill that comes with it. Oh man, the trd pro grille looks so good with the dark chrome surround (and I am one of those that really hates standard chrome on trucks). It just blends so nicely but reminds you that you have a premium truck. I was looking at getting the blueprint to change it up a bit but this also reminded me why i got the tacoma in a MGM in the first place. It's just a mean looking truck. Really love the build and appreciate the content you provide.

Question for you, Jon! I can’t seem to find a good answer anywhere and I know you know your Yotas. I have a 24 Tundra Limited in Magnetic Gray with the Nightshade blackout package. I will be making this grill/lighting upgrade. The RAVE grille is a “Flat, Untextured Matte Finish” and the OEM TRD Pro grille is a “Satin, Textured Finish” as per RAVE’s descriptions. My question is this: do you know which of these is closest to what I get in my Nightshade package? When I move over the LiDAR sensor caps and stuff I want them to be as color matched as I can.

I believe everything for the radar from your grille moves over and is the same as what Toyota would have. I went with the OEM grille option on mine. I don't honestly know how much RAVE and OEM would differ. I haven't seen theres.

@@TRDJonWorth a shot! Thanks for being a man of the people and getting back at me. I’m sure when it comes down to it it’s not going to be terribly different. My OEM plastics (radar stuff included) are very matte. RAVE’s official response to me was “The nightshade package will look fantastic with either grille option. I would be more concerned with other features such as lighting options, etc when it comes to Rave vs OEM grille.” - which wasn’t exactly what I was looking for but they’re probably right.

I don’t think you can go wrong with the grill surround. The dark chrome makes it look kinda high end, shiny. Color matching it will probably make it look more sporty. Go with your gut man.

I am finding wherever I can to report how terrible Alpha rex products are and their customer service. I had a set purchased for a toyota. Impossible to level them from the install and they did not want to help. Always the customers fault. I then had an issue that everyone kept flashing me and I later discovered the lights were constantly changing brightness on their own. shortly after that, they filled up with so much condensation that it looked like someone poured water into them. The units are not even a year old. I have been trying to work with Alpha Rex for months now and they keep telling me they are looking into it if I can ever get them to respond. Makes it impossible to drive your vehicle when the lights don’t work and there is no concern from the company to address. Absolutely horrible customer service.

Never had an issue with them man and others have really enjoyed them too, sorry about your lemons and hopefully they make it right. But puttting them on blast for one set of lights isn't they way to go about it. Put your stock lights back in and call them everyday to make it happen.

What I cannot accept is lack of customer service and broken promises, failure to respond or it’s always the customers fault. I do not have my old lights so it is not that easy.
