Just by chance I watched this live on Twitch. Even better than watching Eric beat a GM with the Stafford was hearing Jesse commentate. She has to be one of the best streamers around and an absolutely delightful person.

That was wierd how Eric's queen paused at h2 before going all the way to h1 for the checkmate. The evaluation bar briefly went totally white before going back to totally black when the queen moved on to h1. That Stafford Gambit is tricky...

There was a lot of drama at the WBC but this came in easily at number 1 for me. I know this line, I wouldn't be able to remember it over the board. But if, miraculously, I could've remembered it, which I definitely couldn't, i'd have totally stuffed that top level GM the same way Eric did! and that makes me feel really good for both me and Eric.

Like, why does it matter that you find her attractive when she's commentating on chess? That was literally the first thing you felt like you needed to mention.
