I would of killed for a guitar hero setup like this back in the day. Unfortunately clone hero on a monitor with crazy refresh rates and crazy fps has forever ruined a setup like this for me. Last time I tried playing on a big ass TV like that on a console I was actually getting quite upset how much lag or delay or whatever it is that there was. Missing notes that I have no business missing anymore lol. That's a really neat setup nonetheless

@@Brent-jj6qi nah you cant. even a super responsive tv has a big delay for gaming. they go from 20-60ms compared to 0.5-1.5ms on monitors

For the record, if you have a wii guitar, it has adapters (i would reccomend retrocult) that work even better for clone hero Xplorers are perfectly fine if you play casually tho

The white controller is preferred because the neck is fixed so there so play between the body and the neck. It’s just more solid when your playing harder songs on expert

I love this kind of content! I personally never played guitar hero, but I am a huge fan of old games that aren’t really used as much today. Like guitar hero, old Mario games and even old consoles so that PS2 and Xbox 360 really sold me on this video! (also thanks to this video I now know that if I want old Games, game consoles , and old game stuff in general I should buy them from eBay cause you got some absolute steals on there Luke)

Got an X-Plorer full of those stickers you have on your childhood guitar that I picked up at a random yard sale on my way home from school one day like 10 years ago. I still have it within 5 minutes reach if I ever want to use it. Unfortunately can't use it on console, but do use it with Clone Hero on occasion, just to keep the motions in mind.
