My Ultimatte 12 HD to Vive Mars Camtrack UE SDI Port setup (Overview for Virtual Production) Part 2

This is an Updated workflow that also shows how I setup my Vive Mars Camtrack. I wanted to show my Ultimatte 12 HD SDI setup and mapping because I had some issues setting up and how to map it out for virtual production a while ago and it was hard to find a video just showing the actual setup.
This isn't for everyone because not everyone will have it but this is for anyone who does need this help. Also, a reminder for myself if I forget.

So, when do you think the MARS becomes necessary, instead of using trackers and cameras?

How do you record live your Ultimate Keyer? Do you use the Monitor Out or something else and do you have a external Recorder? For Unreal to recognise Genlock, one Port on the Decklink needs to be not in use. So if I have a BG, Garbage Mask and Holdout Mask I cant use the 4th Input of the Decklink to record it. 😥 Also for a Multicam Setup we got multiple Keyer and Outputting the Unreal Background, Garbage Mask and a Holdout Mask for each Cam. Is there a way to connect multiple PCs together for better Unreal Viewport Performance, because this is even crushing our RTX 4090 😅

You just said a lot 😂. I have an Atomos Sumo 19" for external recorder that I can use if I wanted to record the Keyer. I use the monitor out and the Program out as well for other monitors to show the final output (Usually for clients). When it comes to using Garbage mask, Holdout Mask and BG I also have the decklink duo 2 along with my Decklink 8K pro to have 4 more SDI ports (More money but not as expensive as the Decklink 8K Pro). I haven't done a multicam setup yet so I wouldn't know how to approach that at the moment. I'm, running an RTX A6000 and at the GDC I was running the Vive Mars, Streaming Xsens Motion capture live into UE as well as a pushing everything out to multiple monitors for 9 hrs straight and I was hoping nothing went wrong 😅.

​@@GTshortStories Thanks for the insides and the explanation how your Setup works. 👍 I tried the Atem Mini SDI to record all signals for now. Its just full hd, but thats ok for now. Only problem is syncing it with the audio. The Blackmagic Plugin in Unreal outputs VITC as Timecode over the Decklink but its only recordable in the Media Express Software from BM :/ When I put into the cam, Mars and Mic Left Channel a Timecode Generator it should work, but because the atem makes is own VITC Timecode and the LTC cant be used in Davinci Resolve if a VITC is already embedded into the atem recorded videofile, I struggle to sync anything. BTW, if the Cam is delayed in the Keyer, is the audio of the cam also delayed? For all the Masks and BG we use the Decklink Quad 2 with 8 Ports + a 8K Decklink. But we realise that one PC really struggles with all these Masks. Even when using the better optimized Off World Plugins. Because we have multiple powerful PCs with even more Decklinks, it will be cool if there is a way to cluster all PCs together for Unreal in a Live Multicam Setup without any lags at 25FPS or more. 😄 Sorry for all these questions, but its really hard to find good informations about this topic. 😅✌
