I went for umrah on 2nd of september 2023 , I can relate with so many feelings of yours as it was my 1st umrah too, it was a 15 days trip but ends up after 9 days due to the death of my Mamu , the most sad part is he was with us during our trip , he lived in Jabel, Saudia Arabia just came to meet us in Makkah (approx from 1400 km far) , we did umrah together , he lived in Saudia Arabia for so long so he knew all the places of ziyarat , we did ziyarats of Makkah with him when we reached maidan-e-Arafat masjid-e-Namrah he gave azan for asar prayer over there because there were no moazzan as majid-e-nimrah opened only during hajj(sermon of hajj delivered in that mosque) and then we went to Madina with him during whole journey from Makkah to Madina he told us the stories of his life, then we reached madina Alhamdulillah......, we did ziyarats of madina with him (at each ziyarat he told us the history of it and also said that keep remember all these now you have to tell it to others) , offered Jummah prayer in masjid-e-nabwi with him, he bought us gifts , on 9th of september after asar prayer he said now I am going back to jabel and you guys can peacefully do your ibada now you are all done with your ziyarats , I insisted to go with him till his car in order to see off him, he said go back to mosque and pray and "if I am really in your heart , you can see me by mere closing of your eyes". Besides that I went to see off him and he started his journey from madina to jabel (he never reached jabel) , on 10 of september during fajar he died in car accident (in midway of his journey), he was sleeping during accident and his elder son was driving the car , he slept....and never woke up , my cousin is alright Alhamdulillah but he......from fajar to zuhr we didn't knew about the accident and we were offering our zuhr prayer , my brother was in riyazul jannah when we got the news, it was a tough time still in masjid-e-nabwi there was a strange satisfaction,I couldn't cry for so many days even not on his funeral (my heart refused to beleive), a person who was with us there a day before is no more....., we had to go back to makkah and after that on 16 sep was our flight but we came back earlier on 11sep from madina to pakistan.....whole family was waiting for Mamu (after completion of paper work (can't say )he reached pakistan) , we offered his funeral on 15th sep...... all the precious moments of my umrah , I spent with him it was my 1st and his last umrah... I can't hold my tears whenever I recalled those days now , his last words ,his last teachings....(I had a deep connection with my mamu) he was in his 70s and had spent a wonderfull life MA , always help others and always assist every hajii he got a chance to. I always wondered how beautifull ending Allah has blessed him with. Offered umrah, gave azan at masjid namrah , gave hazri at roza rasool , helped us to feel our journey to the fullest and just left this world silently......... !! A very beautifull time it was and Alhamdulillah with a very beautifull person. (I don't know why I write it all here but life is so uncertain so try to spend every moment in virtuous deeds , you never know which are your last moments, to all who read this please offer surah fatiha for my mamu and also pray for me , may I be able to meet him in jannah) Jazak Allah Khyran !!
