Out of all the idols, Lee Know seems to me the most secure and genuine person. He is absolutely fine where he is at, and doesn't feel the need to prove anything to anyone including his fans, when they ask him to do something he even remotely doesn't want to he just says no. He does a lot of solo lives and still keeps tight-lipped about his personal and emotional life, and that makes me respect him incredibly.

I LOVE that your uncle disagreed with Seungmin in the "Han can live well wothout Lee Know but Lee Know wouldn't" because even though Han seems more independent and Lee Know is more expresive with him, it was Han who pretty much took LK and said "I like you, I'm keeping you" and never let go. He is the one who strated to refer to Lee Know as his soulmate and Lee Know just went along with it. Is not the fandom who decided to call them soulmates, it was Han himself, and it was before predebuting, which means that it was less than two months since knowing eachother that Han found who he considers his soulmate. 😭🙌

You are so right. People repeat a lot the "Han can live without Lee Know" line and "Han fell first but Lee Know fell harder" like Lee Know doesn't mean as much to Han as Han means to Lee Know. SKZ watch their videos and the fan made videos and it's possible Han's seen this repeated several times. To me it seems like he could have written "Volcano" to address this. The song sounds like a message to a soulmate with Han expressing how much that person means to him, what he needs from them and how he would make the same choice over and over again.

FR it bothers me so much when people bring it up like this. I am sure there was more context to what Seungmin said or even if there wasn't, he didn't mean it the way fans took it. I already came across a commentor the other day calling Lee Know 'dependent' on Han and 'obsessed' with him. Like broski, you are calling one of the few adult males in the group who can drive, cook proper meals, clean etc. as dependent, you don't know what actual dependency means. Minho is just extremely affectionate with Han and doesn't hold it back (which is so cute because he makes 12 kinds of disgusted faces when someone else even looks in his direction with love), there's no obsession/infatuation/dependency here. What I am assuming is that Han has always been more anxious and shy to show very obvious affection or initiate it the way Minho does but he has never backed away from it either (although that's changing as of late with all the 'LK is my husband' concert clips lol).

Not wanting to rely on others is not the same as not really loving someone. I saw a similar comment last month; one that called Lee Know co-dependent and questioned what will happen to him if Han ends their relationship, making it sound one-sided. Yet we know how much Han needs Lee Know to help with his social anxiety. Lee Know described Han saying there are times he needs to be alone in his room and doesn't like when others bother him. It shows how well Lee Know knows Han and works to give him what he needs. I think that's why Han says he'll come out of his room and find out Lee Know just stopped by for 10 minutes and left. Lee Know said he was just resting on his walk home but it's more likely that's Lee Know way of checking on him and the others without disturbing Han. While at the same time he's the one who can get Han out of the house to go places and do things. Yes, somewhere between the release of Volcano and their time in Sydney Han seems more open about them. He kept talking about their "pool date" the day after followed by that Chan's Room episode where he talked about marrying Lee Know. Then like you said he was at concerts after telling different Stay, depending on what they asked, he was either dating or married to Lee Know.

I have always been bothered by this too. I have never seen anything even hinting of a one-sided friendship between Lee Know and Han. Of course we don't see most of their real life interactions, but that's the point. Imagine the conversations and meaningful times they DO have together when no camera is around to capture it. They are obviously wonderful close friends. The term soulmate isn't just thrown around easily, particularly by guys whose every movement is analyzed all over the world. Han would not have said such a thing flippantly. For me, there is no drama between these two, just a beautiful friendship I am quite jealous of. I've never met my soulmate. It's a blessing when others have.

Also with these kids rooms we can’t forget that they most likely not alone in the room. But have a whole camera team watching them. Hence staying more on the surface and not going to deep at some topics. I think you can see this especially with Chan. When he is alone during Chans room he tends to open up more and be himself while in these episodes he seems (to me) to put up a happy face very aware of the cameras and people around. But this might be just my perspective. But considering the set up, knowing what they’re saying will probably watched by thousands of strangers it’s amazing how much they’re opening up❤

My favorite description of Han that I’ve heard is that he is the most extroverted introvert you’ll ever see. In a lot of ways I feel like Lee Know is the opposite and is a fairly introverted extrovert in that he wants to be with people but doesn’t necessarily want to talk or do something crazy. I feel like it’s one of the reasons that they click so well. It is funny to hear them describe Han as confident in himself. Not saying that Han isn’t but knowing how much he’s struggled with anxiety over the years. Whatever their dynamic is, which honestly is none of our business, I am always happy to see how close they are and how well they get along. Idols go through a lot of stress and pressure and I’m glad that this group loves and supports each other so well in that environment.

At first, I also thought about his anxiety when they mentioned that... But then I thought about how anxiety issues like that aren't actually necessarily indicative of your level of self-confidence. And - from what I've seen of him - Han really does seem to know how fantastic he is. From when he said that (until he saw LK lol) he thought he was the most attractive guy out there, to his self-confident raps hyping up his accomplishments, I've heard him brag quite a lot! And rightfully so! I'm glad he seems to know how talented he is, and I know he has worked hard for all that he has. So, actually, I think he does seem very self confident. :)

Han doesn't seem to doubt his skills and abilities, he's pretty sure of himself in general but he may think he's not always understood for example. most of the time social anxiety is about getting overwhelmed, especially if you have a lot of thoughts going on in your head in the first place. and I think LK is good at distracting Han from getting stuck in his head

It's so interesting to watch a breakdown like this while knowing a lot about these two. Han seems confident and to a certain extent he is now, but he's the most introverted member with the most anxiety going on stage. Han also only has one brother, I believe, and it seems to me that he grew up socialized towards toxic masculinity. I don't think he's had a healthy way to process and communicate his emotions before he joined the band. That's why he was very emotionally volatile when he joined. Probably given how the members have helped him overcome anxiety and whatnot, he's grown closer to them in a way that let's him process and communicate emotions in a healthy way. He's also become very emotionally aware (of himself and those around him) and a lot of times he jokes around in eccentric ways to consciously lift others' spirits which is just about the cutest thing. He also specifically cheers up Lee Know when he's down through humor because Lee Know is less vocal about his concerns and all. Lee Know is very different from Han. He was an only child, so he never really had a close relationship with someone where he could really share everything with them including emotions. His main socialization was through his friends who he communicated with through humor and teasing. It can be hard for people, especially boys, to be really emotionally vulnerable around their friends, especially other boys. He's had close friends, but he always tends to focus on what they do together and the experiences they share rather than their emotional connection. When he first joined on the survival show that created this band, he was anxious too, and Han is very well attuned to those emotions, so he held Lee Know's hand and helped him with the rhythm, and after being eliminated, Lee Know wondered if this time he made a mistake because Han wasn't holding his hand. The survival show was one of the very few times he's cried publicly as well. Because of how Han supported him during his moment of anxiety, Lee Know also comforts Han whenever he's anxious at shows or events. He's the only member Lee Know physically touches a lot. There's skinship with everyone but especially with Han as a way of comfort and closeness. There's a lot of rumors about them, that their flirting or skinship or other behavior points towards a romantic relationship. At the crux of it though, I think what they provide for each other is an emotional safe space that they both really need. There are random clips of them just adoringly gazing at each other. There's so much love there. The amount of emotional support they give each other under that pretense of humor is no small thing. It's really beautiful.

It's interesting to see how people read these two as the first time. They see Han as this confident guy who is sure of himself always and they hint at a certain insecurity in Leeknow. But a deeper dive shows how Han is also dealing with anxiety issues and Leeknow is probably the most secure one in the way he doesn't, literally doesn't take crap from anyone, even his fans. Han is really genuine and beautiful, but I feel like there are times he hides his actual self too (understandable given that he's an idol) whereas I never get that vibe from Leeknow, weirdly. But their duo, they compliment each other amazingly well.

I loved this. It was so nice seeing an outside source 'get' their relationship. One thing I slightly disagree with, though, is that they don't have/need serious conversations. They are both very private people, and this was being filmed for the entire internet to weigh in on. Han has too many things to do. He is a bona-fide genius who belongs to his music and to the world. A relationship that demands what would be an average/normal amount of input from him would be too much and eventually be a burden. LeeKnow understands and those few minutes are how he tops up his emotional tank, reassures himself of Han's state of mind and also reminds Hannie that h3 is there if he needs him. 15:15 i also agree with uncle Harley. As they said, Han is not a person who goes to deep conversations. That doesn't mean Han doesn't care about others and his friendship with Lee Know especially when he is socially awkward and introverted. So i think Seungmin and Changbin and maybe rest of skz just have a misunderstanding about Han. In the recent 2kids show too, Han mentioned that whenever there is a problem or something with members, he and lee know will not approach them and won't try give advise or comfort them, instead they think that time will heal every problems. Just because he can't comfort someone doesn't mean he don't care. It’s not like a normal life friendship where they don’t get to see eachother during their days because of their work schedules or just life. The fact that they see and spend so much of their time together and Minho still decides to stop at their dorm for a few seconds just to see them is so much more impactful. Then other people have talked about it a lot but Minho is very private about his personal life, and Han is as well but less so. The two of them try not to say a lot, so them being in a room full of crew members watching them talk and potentially telling them what’s ok and not ok to talk about also brings them into having a more surface-level conversation. We know (from other members and themselves from other content and things that happen over the years) that they are both more deep with eachother when they are alone, most of the members are, they just don’t fully want to share that with the crew there. It’s not sharing it with STAY that they worry about, because to some extent during their not supervised lives and bubble messages they share more of that closeness (but still not fully, because again they are very private.)

Thank you guys so much. Love hearing your analysis on Stray Kids members. So a bit of reference Soongi, Doong and Dory are Lee Knows cats. He is a big supporter of cats and animals. Han is a lyricist and writes a lot of stray kids songs either by his self or with 2 other members Bang Chan and Changbin. He has a solo song he wrote called Alien. It is a song about feeling out of place like an Alien. Han is such an introvert around new people. Lee Know is also an introvert in a way around new people but doesn't seem to be as much as Han. Maybe he hides it more easily. The part were Han is talking about ride is in reference to a unit song that is Lee Know and Bang Chan have released called Drive. For stay fans this is not something new because we all know that Han is always forgetting his lines, or dance moves or song titles. He was talking to Lee Know about his song but he called it Ride and not Drive which is the correct name. Lee Know was the first one to say they were soul mates. It has been that way since their pre debut days when they had to go through a survival show and Han was always there holding Lee Knows hands because he had less training as a vocalist he wasn't as confident then. Han maybe an introvert but he has sad that when he gets on stage and hears the fans it gives him energy he becomes a totally different person. Han is the one member that can't stand for someone to be hurt. When they were playing a game and Felix lost everyone got to hit the inside of his arm with 2 fingers to make a stinging mark. Han was last and instead of hitting Felix he kissed his arm. Surprised everyone. Also when Felix was eliminated on their survival pre debut show Han was the first one to approach Felix and hug him. He is just a pure heart with a beautiful mind that never stops thinking about things. Lee Know does not like to show affection much he protects his members with out them knowing unless it is Felix. They share a comfortable bond because they were both eliminated before being brought back later to prove they had what it takes to debut. All the guys know that Felix is more of the sensitive one in the group they tend to protect him the most. I could go on about these guys. They fascinate me so much in their brotherhood bond and love to see them laughing and enjoying life. It makes me happy.

Thank you for sharing your uncle's thoughts. It was very insightful and interesting to hear. I'm glad he desagreed with "Han can live without LK" because it's very obvious they both rely on each other for so many needs. I always remember that Han called LK his mental tranquilizer. About them not getting too serious, they both often use humour as a shield to not get too vulnerable in front of the cameras. And in general, LK said he doesn't like deep conversations and expresses more with actions than words. That's what he meant in his reply to soulmate question - true soulmates don't need to think about relationship deeply or label it in any way - it just happens naturally and you both understand it. And for Han, there is always so much going on in his head but LK never tries to get into his head or focus Han on it, instead, he distracts him in the best possible way. And that works very well for both of them. I think it's very rare to find someone to whom you can say whatever you want and know they'll understand exactly what you mean.

SO GLAD I FOUND YOU AGAIN AFTER Nnit having a phone for 6 months. I love Uncle Harley's psychological analysis of the dynamics , between different people in the same groups. His insight is so astute, sharp & also, very carefully observational. The reading of the non-verbal communication, body attitude & language. It is said that 85% of all communication is non- verbal. Uncle Harley points out, especially , the most minute of "tells" & accurately translates them for us laymen, without making us feel beneath him , or ignorant. He puts it in a way that anyone can understand & for some reason, it makes me love this group ,Stray Kids, all the more , through understanding , does come love & admiration. He certainly assists us so clearly, in understanding them as flesh & blood people, which humanizes them , in a whole new, revealing warm light.
