MY UNPOPULAR OPINION #9. HAVING A CRUSH

Hey, I recently had a very similar experience. I had this huge crush on someone and he was super nice and made me feel kind of special, but always was like very vague and undercommitting. For two months I was highly confused and it felt really weird waiting for him to make a move or react more to my moves, which he did not reject at all, but also did not play into. I most recently courageously told him I had a crush on him and he rejected me. Even though it hurt in the moment, it felt so good not keeping my hopes up all the time and getting off that roller coaster. So for me being honest with the person feels fair to him and also to myself. Right now I like to keep my distance from him to allow myself to fall out of love, but someday I am sure, we can develop a healthy friendship. Best regards and have nice Christmas! 🎄

@@kassandra4748 sorry it didn’t work out romantically, but it was so brave of you to express your feelings and be vulnerable, and also not to waste your time and energy wondering! And I love the idea of a friendship with somebody you like as a person (once the romantic feelings are out of the picture) and not discarding someone just because romantically things didn’t work out. I(male/17)have like a same same but different problem when it comes to crushes(it's going to be a long one just FYI), whenever i have a crush on somebody (girls up to this time and date), they always seem to notice, and then come to me which tbh i don't mind in fact it's the opposite i love it it makes me feel important for once in my life they make me feel like i actually matter in this world they get all close and touchy and then i find them behind some random corner with my best friend (female/also 17)confessing to her that they just used me to get close to her which just shatters my heart for one, but then i hear them calling me worthless and stupid which then just breaks me... (with "them" being the person i'm crushing on) then i go on a 2-month depression-phase while getting comforted by my best friend sometimes to no avail just to fall for the same thing again and again and again.... And this has been going on for a good 9 years now give or take 2 years and i'm feeling like i'm starting to lose myself at this point... i don't even know what to do anymore

@@gdapprentice227 I am so sorry you are experiencing this! These girls’ behaviour is not a reflection of what you’re worth of! Just keep focusing on yourself and your personal growth. I used to think that straight men are the most mean but straight/bisexual girls can be, too! Your worth is not defined by your crushes/people that behave that they fall for you. You are the one who ho defines it and please make sure you to set a high standard for it♥️🙏
