Okay, I had to come back and tell you that I was so frustrated. I’m a natural redhead and I’ve been using henna for years to keep up my beloved copper hair. It’s such a part of my identity that I’m not ready to let go of it but it’s been fading for quite a few years. I’m 43 years old now. I’m so tired of henna which is an hours long process once a month. I was wanting to fade my henna and get more to a strawberry blonde that would be a little easier to maintain and I wouldn’t be chasing a harsh line every single month. I found you and your formula and decided to give it a go. I couldn’t get my henna to fade. I tried all of the home remedies. I oiled it, I used vitamin c, I even tried color oops. It wouldn’t budge. I held my breath and used your formula with 20 volume at my roots and I used 30 volume on my ends for this first application. I needed the henna to lift at least three levels and I wasn’t willing to damage my healthy hair with bleach. I crossed my fingers and went through with the 30 volume for 40 minutes and hoped it would lift enough to match my roots. It freaking worked! I am so happy with this color and I can’t thank you enough! I feel like this will allow me to go longer between root touch ups. I don’t plan to do my ends every time I touch up my roots and next time I refresh my ends I will use 10 volume now that the 30 volume has lifted me enough. I don’t have to chop my long hair off now and I’m so relieved! Thank you from the bottom of my ginger heart!! ❤

Thank you for this master class on strawberry blond. The result is gorgeous!! I would love to do at home color, but I have PTSD from home hair color during covid times. From the process to the result, to the stains on the wall paper that i can't get out! I am going to save this for future!

I've never colored my hair on my own, but I love how well it is explained that I might give it a try😊!! As a tip u don't need to color ur whole hair! U can just make a shampoo and leave it for about 10 minutes thar way u don't damage ur hair! That was advised by a hair color specialist! I leave a little dye behind and just add shampoo to it then just add it to all of my hair!

That’s a good idea using 10 volume for the lengths. A lot of people at home don’t do that but should. That formula is beautiful. 😍👩🏻🦰 Also an affordable color conditioner is to buy the Adore direct dye pigment and mix it in your favorite color. There are tons shades and affordable enough to buy more then one to mix up whatever your heart’s desire. Also strong enough to work when mixed in conditioner.

Thank you! A licensed colorist had kindly suggested in the comments of my last video to try a level 10 on length of my hair and it really has worked well for me. Thank you for your suggestion, the way I ran to The Internet to look up these dyes. I will order a few to try and report back, thank you again!! I had not heard of this brand before.

I am literally doing a patch test with this formula right now. 😬 I’m so nervous. I’ve been a redhead my whole life and I’m talking ginger/copper. My hair is fading a lot now and I’ve been using henna sooq morrocan henna to keep up the color and I’m tired of having to do a four hour henna treatment every four weeks. There is now such a stark contrast between the ends and the regrowth that it starts looking ridiculous every 2 weeks. I’m so tired of it. I’m hoping your formula but using 20 volume all over the first time will give me enough lift/deposit to be able to start just doing the roots for awhile and maybe only every 8 weeks or so. We shall see. Wish me luck! I’m really proud of myself for patch testing first. I’m usually just a dive in there and do it but I decided I had better patch test first. 😅

Very interesting. This is my natural color and I decided to stop coloring when covid started. Now I’m blonde (which took a lot of getting used to), but I still have hairs that are red from root to tip. So everything is a challenge….I’m light but still have warmth in my hair. Makeup needed adjusting but not completely changed, if that makes sense. I think the best description is that my hair is now creamy. Anyway, when you’re ready to stop coloring, a makeup “adjustment” tutorial would be great. I miss my red hair but it’s still an unusual color and I get compliments. At least I have hair!😉

Hi Molly, first thank you for sharing all of your knowledge. A couple of questions, is there any issue using the vivetone developer with the wella color charm brand ? Also, it looks to me, ( I could be incorrect) like the only difference to the formula is the developer used. Also to clarify, at the end you are happy using the vivetone developer for grey coverage so there is not a need to use the Satin grey coverage developer. Also, if you wanted to be just a bit mor red would you even think of adding a drop of the 7R or, as was in your blog, was the 7r experience of it being way to red for you …make you think no to the 7R period.. Thank you again

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I love your videos. I did this formula on my hair last night. I’m probably a level 6 naturally and had quite a bit of regrowth on my roots. The rest of my hair was bleach blonde. I love how most of my hair turned out, but my roots are a little warmer and deeper than the rest of my hair. I’m guessing I didn’t get enough lift on my roots with the 20 vol developer. In your opinion, should I just do the application a second time to get a more even color? Or is there an easier way to balance out my roots? Thank you! ❤

I tried this process and it IS what I am looking for--thank you, thank you --BUT I got hot roots at 30 min, the rest of the color was perfect, so I am not sure what to do to prevent the hot roots--do you have any suggestions? I am also fully gray at the top and that is where my roots were. I fixed by going in with an ash dark blond but obviously don't want to do a next day chemical treatment at my scalp to avoid any sensitivity issues over time. Thanks again--even if you don't have an answer for this--great stuff!! fabulous color--I was about to steer away from my light red color to something easier to maintain and you inspired me to keep at it.

@girlgetglamorous Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I am really loving this color myself. The difference between Auburn and Strawberry Blonde is that auburn will generally be a bit of a deeper level, like in the 4-6 level range, and Strawberry Blonde is in the blonde level range, 7-8 usually. Here is the post on hair color 101 if the "level" part is confusing. Hi! Your hair is beautiful! I have been dying my hair forever at home... usually a medium golden blond but I have been wanting to go strawberry blonde. I watched your wonderful videos and recently used your formula using .5 ounces 8RG + 2 ounces 8G + 5 ounces Level 20 developer. I liked the results and I know it is a process. Next time I'll add more of the 8RG. I have probably the same amount of gray as you and it comes back quickly! I wondered if you have used Wellas Age beautiful line? It seems they are recommended for those with more gray. Could you recommend a formula for this line or do you think the strawberry blonde in this line will give good results? Thank you for your thoughts and all of your videos! Happy Easter! Sue
