Chia chia thanks for sharing. Your video brought back memories of my fear & seeing many people denied visa before my turn in line. I finally obtained my F-1 Visa December 1988 after rejection in May. The rejection was because the college I was going to specified the amount I was getting from them but didn’t indicated “Full Lawn Tennis scholarship”. Back then if the embassy refused you visa ( Visa was free at that time)but you made a strong case, they will issue “ come back note” which I kept up till now. The come back note tells exactly what you need to bring along for next interview. The college issued new form I-20 & the rest is history. My advice to our people is when you succeed in getting visa, always remember what brought you here & by doing so you will be successful!! Abdul from Florida-USA

Make sure you get funding for your program. If possible, ask your job to agree to put you on administrative leave, and a contract showing that you will be promoted when you get back. Those are good ways to show home ties as well.

Please I want to ask the following questions regarding someone who intends to do masters degree study in USA as an international student: 1. Does US master's program require bank statement from home country or block account in US? 2. If I need bank statement, how much will be required to appear in the statement? 3. If I need to open block account in US, how much will be required to be in the block account? 4. How much tuition deposit will the student need to pay before processing his visa or will he need to pay the total tuition for the program while he is still in his home country? 5. For example, if I have admission for a 1 year MSc program with tuition fee of $15,000, will I need to pay the school the full $15,000 before I leave my home country to US, or will I pay half from my home country and pay the balance while studying in US? 6. If I study 1 year MSc masters program in US, how many years postgraduate work permit will I get after graduation?
@AdelekeAugustus
@AdelekeAugustus 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Justin, 1. Bank statement from home country. Only European countries (Germany for sure) requires blocked account. 2. You're expected to at least have your cost of attendance as proof of financial resources before your school can issue your I-20. 3.You do not need a block account. 4. You're not expected to pay a tuition deposit. As a matter of fact, the embassy discourages paying tuition before getting your visa, because the payment does not guarantee visa approval. 5. Tuition is paid every semester. Some schools also have payment plans that allow you to pay monthly. 6. Depending on your program. if it's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) you get three years in total, every other field gets just one-year post-study permit.
