Hello ! Thank you for sharing your story. I felt that. I applied three times for the visa. The first time, I was 22. I was supposed to start the ESL courses first and then start a master's degree. After I completed the ESL program, the university changes its mind and did not accept me into the masters. I stayed in the U.S. for a short period of time to try to convince them and then I went back to my home country so I’m not stuck in the USA with an invalid visa. I applied to another university, I got accepted and I went back. But my visa was no longer valid at that moment (I didn’t know that if you are not enrolled for five months, your student visa will become invalid). I applied for the F1 a second time and got rejected. I applied a third time and I had to prove that I had enough funds to support myself during the time I was in the US without been enrolled. I got my visa at that time. My advices are: - If you travel to the USA to start an ESL program, be sure that you have also enrollment in a university. You can apply for the visa and show them that you have two I-20. After your ESL program, the institution will transfer your SEVIS from one to another, if the schools are different of course. -If you don’t have an enrollment in a university, you should leave the USA territory after your ESL. Apply to a university in your home country and when you got accepted, apply to another student visa. You should not have difficulty to obtain another visa to start the class. - ask questions about your status to your university and to anyone concerned. It is important to be informed about every legal aspect of your student visa. - My last advice is If you have applied and it did not work, keep trying, I thought it will not work for a third time with all this mess, but the council understood that I wasn’t informed about a lot of things and she explained everything to me. Obviously, I show her documents from my university and all the proof that they need to support my application. I hope everyone applying for a visa will obtain it. I know for sure that it is frustrating. Don’t worry and be calm. Sorry for the long paragraph ☺️

Am in Cameroon i was rejected for f1 yesterday and I can't appeal I can only reapply and am discouraged and depressed right now, I don't really know what to do cos there was a guy who this was his 3rd time with all his doc I mean I saw hw he was just talking and showx proof like strong ties but they still rejected him. Hi, You have to fill out a new DS-160 form but then again you have to be consistent with the information you’re giving them except if things have changed significantly since the last time you applied for a visa. Don’t use the old one else you won’t be interviewed. Best wishes!

@@AladiAkoh not really. Just a small paper saying "Congratulations on being approved for a students visa to the united states....." And three instructions about arriving only 30 earlier, going with i20. And then I was given two other papers about passport collection.

This is strange to me. I am only aware of people getting a rejection email days/months after their visa interview day due to the fact that they were given a 221g letter on their interview day. So, after the Consulate carried out their administrative processing they found such candidates ineligible for the visa, hence the rejection email. Well, have you contacted the Embassy to know what really went wrong?
